and with effect from 20th June, 1908.

Services of Rifle Cadet Volunteer Corps accepted.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to accept, under clause 17, (3), of “The Defence Act Amendment Act, 1900,” the services of the undermentioned Volunteer corps:—

C Company, Invercargill Boys’ High School Rifle Cadet Volunteers,

with headquarters at Invercargill. Date of acceptance, 1st May, 1908.

Headquarters of Mounted Rifle Volunteer Corps transferred.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve that the headquarters of the 2nd Regiment, Auckland Mounted Rifle Volunteers, be transferred from “Cambridge” to “Hamilton,” and with effect from 23rd June, 1908.

Defence Rifle Cadet Volunteer Battalion (Auckland Military District) disbanded, and re-formed into Two Battalions.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to disband, as from the 9th day of March, 1908, the No. 1 Battalion, Auckland Defence Rifle Cadet Volunteers, approved by His Excellency on the 20th February, 1905; and also to approve, under clause 6, (1), “The Defence Act, 1886,” of the undermentioned corps in the Auckland Military District being formed into two battalions of Defence Rifle Cadet Volunteers, under the several designations
