THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Stratford, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL.
In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts amending the same respectively.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 29th day of June, 1908, a proposal was submitted by the Stratford Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Stratford for raising a special loan of £4,000 for the purpose of constructing and completing waterworks for the aforesaid borough, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 59; against, 18.
And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

East Coast.
DELAGOA BAY.—The red conical buoy off the srn. side of Lech Reef, in the bay, has been replaced by a red spar buoy surm. by a ball, moored in 25°54½′ S., 32°48¾′ E., about 2¾ cables erd. of the prev. buoy. The lt. of the lt.-buoy in English River, 5½ cables S.32°W. from Reuben Pt. lt., has been altered from red to green. The lt. 1¼ miles N.54°W. from Reuben Pt. lt. has been altered from red and green to green. Also, a red lt. is exh. from the “Catembe shipping-works,” but the position is not stated. May.
Mauritius.—Port Louis.
From about 1st to 31st July, 1908, the harb. lt. (Cannonier Pt., F. white and red, 20°0′ S., 57°33′ E.) is to be temp. replaced by 3 F. white lts. in a triangle. May.
CHINA SEA, ETC.
NAM KWAN HARB. APPROACH.—The rk. P.D. in the entr. to Pi Kwan Harb. carries 3 fms., and lies in 27°8¾′ N., 120°30¼′ E., with the nrn. peak of Ping Fong Isl. N.19°E. 2 miles, and the srn. peak of Chin Kwan Isl. N.71°W., or about ¼ mile N.-erd. of its charted position; the red conical buoy marking the above rk. has been moved to 27°8¾′ N., 120°29′ E., about 2 cables N.-erd. from the srn. pt. of Chin Kwan Isl. May.
The Yang tse Cape bell buoy is moored in 18 ft., with Gutzlaff Lt.-h. S.41°E. 8¾ miles, and the Fairway bell and lt.-buoy N.38°E. May.
