OTAUTAU TOWN BOARD.


ADDITION TO BY-LAWS.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a special meeting
of the Otautau Town Board, held in the Town Board
Office, Main Street, Otautau, on Monday, 14th October,
1907, a resolution was passed and adopted that the creation
of a brick building area within the town district as defined
in minute appearing in the Board's minute-book of 8th July,
1907, as follows—
"That the buildings to be erected in the following area
within the town district be built of stone, brick, or
concrete: From Otautau Bridge to the corner of
Chester Street on both sides of the Main Street;
on all sections facing on to the Main Street, also
inclusive of the whole of Block VI, by way of
Chester, King, and Alderly Streets, also inclusive
of Sections 1 and 2, Block II, and Sections 1 and 2,
Block V, except for the erection of buildings pro-
posed to be erected at a greater distance than 66 ft.
from the street-line, and also for alterations or
additions to existing buildings, the erection of
which may be allowed in other material than brick,
stone, or concrete, at the option of the Board. The
plans and specification of all buildings proposed to
be erected within the town district must be sub-
mitted to the Board for approval"—
be made one of the Board's by-laws, and that a special
meeting of the Board be held on Monday, 18th November,
1907, for the purpose of confirming such resolution.
Further, that such by-law shall come into force on 1st
December, 1907.

And further notice is hereby given that the above resolu-
tion was confirmed at a special meeting held on Monday,
the 18th November, 1907, in accordance with notice given,
and the publication of the foregoing in the Otautau Standard
of 15th, 22nd, 29th October, and 5th November, 1907, and
such by-law is incorporated under the seal of the Otautau
Town Board along with the Board's by-laws.

THE PRODUCE EXPORT COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of
"The Companies Act, 1903," that a General Meeting
of the members of the above-named company will be held in
Messrs. Grace and Wilson's Board-room, Empire Buildings,
Princes Street, Dunedin, on Tuesday, 26th May, 1908, at
8 o'clock in the evening, for the purpose of having an account
laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-
up has been conducted and the property of the company
disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be
given by the Liquidator; and also of determining by extra-
ordinary resolutions the matter in which the books, accounts,
and documents of the company, and of the Liquidator, shall
be disposed of.

PARTNERSHIP NOTICE.

THE business carried on here and elsewhere, under the
style of "Nimmo and Blair," by JAMES SHIEL, JAMES
H. NIMMO, and GEORGE W. GIBSON, as Seed-merchants and
Seed-growers, was dissolved by effluxion of time on 31st
January, 1908, and will continue to be carried on as from that
date by James H. Nimmo and George W. Gibson (under
the old name of Nimmo and Blair), who will receive all
moneys owing to and discharge all debts owing by the late
firm.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership hitherto subsisting between the under-
signed, as Cycle Engineers, at Karangahape Road,
under the style of "Howie, Abbott, and Co.," has this day
been dissolved by mutual consent. Mr. S. Holden Howie
will continue the business in his own name, and will pay
and receive all moneys due by and to the late firm.

THE MARLBOROUGH FARMERS' CO-OPERATIVE
ASSOCIATION (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the above-named company, held at Blen-
heim on the 9th day of May, 1908, the following extra-
ordinary resolution was passed, viz.:—
"That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company
that the said company cannot, by reason of its liabilities,
continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up
the same, and accordingly that the said company be so
wound up voluntarily."

AT a meeting of shareholders of the above company
called for the purpose on 8th January, 1908, the follow-
ing motion was carried unanimously:—
"That the company be wound up voluntarily; and that
Mr. P. R. KENT be appointed Liquidator."

matter of Nicol, Stringer, and Roberts (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-
named company are required, on or before the 15th
day of May, 1908, to send their names and addresses and the
particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and
addresses of their solicitor (if any), to W. H. Suckling,
Norwich Chambers, Customhouse Quay, Wellington, the
Liquidator of the said company; and, if so required by notice
in writing from the said Liquidator, are, personally or by
their solicitor, to come in and prove their said debts or
claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such
notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the
benefits of any distribution made before such debts or claims
are proved.

ASHBURTON COUNTY RACING CLUB.


REGULATIONS.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf
contained in section 34 of the Gaming and Lotteries
Act Amendment Act, 1907, and with the approval of the
Governor, the Ashburton County Racing Club, a racing
club within the meaning of the said Act, doth hereby
make the following regulations controlling the admission of
persons to the Ashburton Racecourse Reserve No. 1318,
situated at Ashburton, set apart for racing purposes, and
known as the Ashburton Racecourse, while the said race-
course is used or occupied by said club for race meetings:—

  1. In these regulations the words "bookmaker" and
    "racing club" shall have the meanings ascribed to those
    terms by section 2 of the said Act.
  2. The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded
    from the Ashburton Racecourse Reserve No. 1318 while the
    same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting,
    namely,—
