Bounded towards the north and east generally by a 1-chain reserve skirting the left bank of the Buller River; towards the south by Section No. 78, Block I, Tutaki Survey District, and by the production of the northern boundary of the said Section No. 78 easterly to the 1-chain reserve aforesaid, about 2000 links; and towards the west by a public road, about 4050 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 56908/3c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, Wellington, and thereon edged red. | All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 13 acres, more or less, being portion of Section No. 61, Square 170, Block I, Tutaki Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east and north by the main road, Murchison to Fern Flat; towards the east by Crown lands, 790·5 links; towards the south by Crown land, 1050 links; and towards the west by Crown land, 2666·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked 56908/8, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, Wellington, and thereon edged red. |

WHEREAS by section ten of “The Mining Act, 1905,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council, appoint fit persons to be Wardens, who shall hold office during the Governor's pleasure:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by the said section ten of “The Mining Act, 1905,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
JAMES SIM EVANS, Esq., S.M.,
to be a Warden, to hold and exercise the duties of such office under and subject to the provisions of the said Act during pleasure, on and from the fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Appointment of Trustees, Palmerston North Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve.
PLUNKET, Governor.
IN exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred by “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Act, 1888,” “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Trustees Validation Act, 1890,” and the Defence Act Amendment Act, 1907 (hereinafter termed “the said Acts”), His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby constitute and appoint:—
Major CHARLES THOMAS TATUM, 3rd Regiment, Wellington (Manawatu) Mounted Rifle Volunteers;
Captain JOHN MOUNSEY, Palmerston North Rifle Volunteers;
Captain DAVID PRINGLE, Adjutant, 3rd Regiment, Wellington (Manawatu) Mounted Rifle Volunteers; and
Captain ROBERT McMURRAY, Palmerston Guards Rifle Volunteers,
to be Trustees of all that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 8·6 perches, more or less, being portion of Section No. 639 in the Township of Palmerston North. Bounded towards the north-east by part of Section No. 639; towards the south-east by part of Section No. 640; towards the south-west by Section No. 641; and towards the north-west by Main Streets: together with all buildings erected thereon: to hold the said several premises for the purpose of maintaining a drill-shed for Volunteer purposes, and generally for the purposes of and with the powers conferred by the said Acts. And it is hereby declared that the said Trustees shall be incorporated under the name of “The Trustees of the Palmerston North Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve,” and that they shall take office as such Trustees on the twenty-seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Major ROBERT MAHAN, 3rd Battalion, Otago Rifle Volunteers;
Captain ARTHUR GETHIN CREAGH, V.D., Waitaki Mounted Rifle Volunteers;
Captain JOHN MEGGETT FORRESTER, Queen's Rifle Volunteers; and
Surgeon-Captain JAMES WHITTON, M.D., 3rd Battalion, Otago Rifle Volunteers,
to be Trustees of all that parcel of land in the Otago Land District, being part of Section No. 8, Block XCV, Town of Oamaru, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 22 perches, more or less. Bounded by a line commencing at a point on the northern side of Itchen Street, distant 430·9 links, measured along the northern side of the said Itchen Street from its junction with Severn Street; thence north-easterly, bearing north 33° 33′ 30″ east, for a distance of 246 links; thence south-easterly, bearing south 56° 26′ 30″ east, for a distance of 94·3 links; thence again south-easterly, bearing south 39° 45′ east, for a distance of 69·6 links; thence south-westerly, bearing south 33° 33′ 30″ west, for a distance of 226 links to the northern side of Itchen Street; and thence north-westerly along the northern side of the said Itchen Street for a distance of 161 links to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: together with all buildings erected thereon: to hold the said several premises for the purpose of maintaining a drill-shed for Volunteer purposes, and generally for the purposes of and with the powers conferred by the said Acts. And it is hereby declared that the said Trustees shall be incorporated under the name of “The Trustees of the Oamaru Volunteer Drill-shed Reserve,” and that they shall take office as such Trustees on the twenty-seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
