Dominion, do hereby direct and declare that, from and after the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eight, the boundaries of the said Land Districts of Otago and Southland shall be such as are described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Dominion of New Zealand bounded towards the north generally by a right line from the northern side of Big Bay to Mount Aspiring; thence by the summit of the Southern Alps to Brodrick's Pass; thence by the Canterbury Land District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 64, of the 19th July, 1900, to the mouth of the Waitaki River; thence towards the south east generally by the ocean to the eastern boundary of Waikawa Survey District; thence towards the west generally by the Waikawa, Mokoreta, Slopedown, Waikaka, Chatton, Wendon, Waikaia, Gap, and Rockyside Survey Districts to the south-eastern corner of Run No. 323A, in Lorn Survey District; thence by the said Run No. 323A, Kingston Survey District, and the western shore of Lake Wakatipu; thence towards the south generally by the southern shore of Lake Wakatipu to the Greenstone River; thence by that river to the south-eastern boundary of Run No. 431, in Von Survey District; thence by the said south-eastern boundary of Run No. 431 to the watershed between the sources of the Greenstone River and the Mararoa River; thence by that watershed to David Peaks; by the summit of the watershed between the source of the said Greenstone River and the Eglinton River; by the summit of the watershed between the Hollyford River and the Eglinton River to Mount Anau; thence by the summit of the leading range to Homer's Saddle; thence by the summit of the watershed between the Hollyford River and the Cleddau River to Tutoko Peak; thence by the summit of the leading range to Pembroke Peak; thence by a line along the summit of the watershed between John o' Groats River and Thurso River to the sea at Stripe Point, about one mile and a half south of the mouth of John o' Groats River; thence towards the north-west by the ocean to the northern side of Big Bay, the place of commencement: including all the adjacent islands.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Dominion of New Zealand bounded towards the north-east generally by the Otago Land District, hereinbefore described; and towards the south and towards the west by the sea: including Stewart Island, Solander Island, Ruapuke Island, the Snares Islets, the Auckland Islands, Enderby Islands, Campbell Islands, the Antipodes Islands, the Bounty Islands, and all other islands or islets adjacent to the above-described area and within the limits of the Dominion which lie south of the forty-seventh parallel of south latitude.

Recreation Reserve in Auckland Land District brought under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of April, 1908.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

By virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as Kohukohu Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

KOHUKOHU DOMAIN.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Block X, Mangamuka Survey District, Hokianga County, being a portion of the foreshore of the Hokianga River, and containing by admeasurement 11 acres 1 rood 28 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the west and north-west generally, commencing at peg VIA, by a public road, 732·6, 382·6, 551·1, 658·9, and 231·1 links, to peg XIIIA; towards the north-west and south-east by right lines bearing 110° 29′, 496·6 links, and 200° 29′, 2289·6 links, respectively, to peg VIA aforesaid: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 35927/17. deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Vesting a Reserve in the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of April, 1908.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

Whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved as a hospital-site: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the seventh section of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1907, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, in trust, for the purposes of an infectious diseases hospital.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres. more or less, being Section No. 23A, Block XV, Waitemata Survey District. Bounded towards the west, north, and north-east by Waitemata Harbour, and towards the south east by Section No. 23, Parish of Titirangi; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 48598, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Authorising the Exchange of a Reserve in the Nelson Land District for other Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of April, 1908.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, K.C.M.G., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

Whereas the land mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto forms part of a reserve heretofore duly set apart for public utility: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the said land for that described in the second column of the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the third section of “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889,” doth hereby declare that the said reserve described in the first column of the Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the second column of the Schedule hereto.
