and being part of land assessed on said Omona Riding valuation roll under Assessment No. 13; western half part Matemateonga, part Sub. 1, and part Allotment 2 of Sub. 3, Blocks VI and X, Omona Survey District (776 acres 3 roods 30 perches), and being part of land assessed on said Omona Riding valuation roll under Assessment No. 68; parts 3 and 5, Sub. 1, Matemateonga, Blocks V, VI, IX, X, Omona Survey District (376 acres 2 roods), and being whole of land assessed on said Omona Riding valuation roll under Assessment No. 2; parts 2 and 4 of Allotment 1 of 3, Sub. 1, Matemateonga, Blocks V and VI, Omona Survey District (474 acres and 14 perches), and being whole of land assessed on said Omona Riding valuation roll under Assessment No. 1: such special rate to be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as security for a loan under the said Act. The interest to be paid on such loan is at the rate of £4 10s. per centum per annum, and the interest thereon for one year, together with the cost of raising the loan, is to be paid out of such loan.

The above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Eltham County Council held on the 8th day of February, 1908, and confirmed at a meeting of the said Council held on the 14th day of March, 1908.

THE following special order, made by the Featherston County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Featherston County Council do hereby resolve as follows:—
(1.) That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100 (being 10 per cent. additional on a loan of £1,000), authorised to be raised by the Featherston County Council, under the provisions of subsection (3) of section 68 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for metalling that portion of the Pahaoa Road known as the Pahaoa Hill within the Pahaoa Riding, the said Featherston County Council hereby makes and levies an additional rate of 1/10d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable properties appearing in the Pahaoa Hill Special-rating District, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 26th October, 1905, page 2502; such rate to be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the rate of interest to be at the rate of 4½ per cent. per annum.
(2.) That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100 (being 10 per cent. additional on a loan of £1,000), authorised to be raised by the Featherston County Council, under the provisions of subsection (3) of section 68 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the erection of a bridge over the Huangarua River and providing approaches to same, the said Featherston County Council hereby makes and levies an additional rate of 1/20d. in the pound sterling on the rateable value of all rateable properties appearing within the Pahaoa Riding Special-rating District, the boundaries of which are more particularly described on page 945 of the New Zealand Gazette of the 4th day of March, 1907; such rate to be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and the rate of interest shall be at the rate of 4½ per cent. per annum.
Also that the aforementioned resolution be confirmed at a meeting of the Council to be held on Friday, the 13th day of March, 1908.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by section 14 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorised to be raised by the Waitomo County Council, under the provisions of section 14 of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of widening and metalling a portion of the Mangaorino Road between the north-west corner of Section 1, Block III, Otanake Survey District, and the northern boundary of Section 3, Block XVI, Orahiri Survey District, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mangaorino Special-rating District. The special-rating district comprises the whole of the following sections, viz.: Sections 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, Block XVI, and Sections 1 and 7, Block XV, Orahiri Survey District; Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4, Block IV, Otanake Survey District; Pukeroa-Hangatiki Nos. 3A and 3B Blocks; Te Kumi No. 5 Block; Te Kuiti No. 2A Block; and Te Kuiti No. 2B No. 3 Block. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years at 4½ per centum, or until the loan is fully paid off; and it is the intention to pay out of loan the cost of raising same and the first year’s interest.
The above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Waitomo County Council held on the 20th day of December, 1907, and confirmed at a special meeting held on the 20th day of January, 1908.

Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments thereto, the Council of the County of Pohangina hereby resolves by way of special order as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £800, authorised to be raised by the Council of the County of Pohangina, under the above-mentioned Act, for the reconstruction and re-erection of the Pohangina Bridge and the approach thereto, the said Council of the County of Pohangina hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/64d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Awahou and Tamaki Ridings; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly
