hereby revoke clause seven of the said regulations of the twenty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and doth make the following regulation in lieu thereof:—

REGULATION.

  1. Any holder of a license to net trout under these regulations may sell and dispose of trout so netted without taking out a license to sell trout: Provided a proper register is kept by such licensee of every such sale showing the name and address of the person or persons to whom such trout is sold, the quantity sold, and the date of sale. Such register shall be in the form prescribed by the Minister of Customs, and shall be open to inspection by any Collector, Postmaster, or fisheries officer at all reasonable times. If any holder of a license to net shall fail to keep such register, or refuse or neglect to produce the same for inspection by any authorised person, he shall be guilty of a breach of these regulations.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve in the Taranaki Land District.


PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, declare his intention to make such change, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of the portion of the reserve described in the second column of the Schedule hereto from that named in the first column of the said Schedule to that named in the third column of the said Schedule respectively.


SCHEDULE.

Description and Purpose of Original Reserve. Portion which it is intended to change. Intended Purpose.
All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 16 acres, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block XI, Omona Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by the Rawhitiroa Road; towards the south-east by Section No. 6, Block XI aforesaid; towards the south-west by Section No. 11 in the said block; and towards the west and north-west by the Mataiwhetu Road. Reserved for a resting-place for travelling stock in New Zealand Gazette No. 17, of the 10th March, 1898. All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 18 perches, more or less, being Section No. 12, Block XI, Omona Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by the Rawhitiroa Road, 369·65, 317·6, and 457·8 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 6, Block XI, Omona Survey District, 747·55 links; and towards the west generally by a road, 661·6 and 158 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 56320/11, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered purple. For a site for a public cemetery.

Delegation to the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts of certain Powers under “The Thermal-Springs Districts Act, 1881.”


PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the Rotorua Town Act, 1907, provision is made for the management of the Town of Rotorua by the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts, and the said Department is in respect of the said town created a body corporate:

And whereas by section four of the said Act it is enacted that the said Department shall have and may exercise within the said town such powers and authorities vested in the Governor under “The Thermal-Springs Districts Act, 1881,” as he delegates to the Department:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power conferred in that behalf by the Rotorua Town Act, 1907, and of every other power in such behalf, do hereby delegate to the said Department the powers and authorities vested in me by sections five, six, seven, and eight of “The Thermal-Springs Districts Act, 1881,” excepting, however, subsection (two) of section five.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Appointment of Trustees, New Plymouth Rifle-range Reserve.


PLUNKET, Governor.

IN exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred by “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Act, 1888,” “The Volunteer Drill-sheds and Lands Trustees Validation Act, 1890,” and the Defence Act Amendment Act, 1907 (hereinafter termed “the said Acts”), His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, doth hereby constitute and appoint

Lieutenant-Colonel EDWARD NELSON LYDEARD OKEY, V.D., 4th Battalion, Wellington (Taranaki) Rifle Volunteers;

Major WILLIAM GEORGE MALONE, 4th Battalion, Wellington (Taranaki) Rifle Volunteers;

Captain GEORGE COCK, V.D., Retired List;

Captain CLAUDE HORACE WESTON, Adjutant, 4th Battalion, Wellington (Taranaki) Rifle Volunteers;

Captain FREDERICK WILLIAM OKEY, Pay- and Quartermaster, 4th Battalion, Wellington (Taranaki) Rifle Volunteers; and

Captain CHARLES THOMAS MILLS, Taranaki Guards Rifle Volunteers,

to be Trustees of all that parcel of land in the Paritutu Survey District, Land District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 106 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being Section No. 138 and part of Kaitere N.R. No. 161, Block II; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W. 21598, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red and yellow respectively: together with all buildings erected thereon: to hold the said several premises for the purpose of maintaining a rifle range for Volunteer purposes, and generally for the purposes of and with the powers conferred by the said Acts. And it is hereby declared that the said Trustees shall be incorporated under the name of “The Trustees of the New Plymouth Volunteer Rifle-range Reserve,” and that they shall take office as such Trustees on the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eight.
