Declaring Part of Kaitieke Road, in Waimarino County, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of March, 1908.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a Government road.

SCHEDULE.

Approximate Area of each of the Portions of Road to be declared a Government Road. Being on Frontage of Section No. Situated in Block Situated in Survey District of Shown on Plan Coloured on Plan

All in the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Consenting to closing Road in Glenomaru Survey District, Clutha County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of March, 1908.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three, (a), of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county road or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained :

And whereas the Clutha County Council has applied for such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule hereto :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Clutha County Council closing the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Proclaiming a Government Road in the Borough of Sumner as closed.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of March, 1908.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and thirty-three of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Schedule hereto.

Validating the Public Notifications of, and Voting-papers used in connection with, a Loan of £150 for Improvements to the Streets in the Township of Woodend, Borough of Maori Hill, applied for by the Maori Hill Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of March, 1908.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the Maori Hill Borough Council has applied to the Minister of Finance, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, for a loan of one hundred and fifty pounds for the purpose of improving the streets in the Township of Woodend : And whereas the public notification of the special order making the special rate was published in the Otago Daily Times newspaper for four weeks, but was not published once in each week of the four weeks immediately preceding the date of the subsequent meeting at which the special order was confirmed as required by section seventy-three of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900.” : And whereas the public notification of, and the voting-papers used in connection with, the proposal to raise the said loan stated, contrary to the provisions of section nine of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1903,” that the money was to be raised by the issue of debentures: And whereas the Governor is satisfied that the ratepayers have not been misled by such irregularities or defects, and it seems expedient to validate such irregularities :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power conferred by section ten of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1902,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby validate the said public notifications and voting-papers, and doth hereby declare that the proceedings in relation to the said loan and special order shall be and be deemed to have been as good, valid, and effectual as though the said notifications had been correctly published and the said voting-papers had been in due form.
