Also all that portion of road in the Canterbury Land District, Levels County, commencing at a point at the southern end of the Downs Road 3 chains south of the northernmost corner of Section 113, in the Rosewill Settlement, Block XI, Pareora Survey District, and proceeding in a southerly direction until it joins the Rolling Ridges Road, about 7 chains from the south-east corner of Section 113, in Block XI, Pareora Survey District, being a distance of 61 chains or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road in the Canterbury Land District, Levels County, commencing at a point 20 chains south-west of the north-east corner of Section 108, in the Rosewill Settlement, Block XI, Pareora Survey District, and proceeding generally in a southerly direction through Section 108, and along the eastern frontage of Section 108, and terminating at the south-east corner of Section 108, in Block XI, Pareora Survey District, being a distance of 76 chains or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road in the Canterbury Land District, Levels County, commencing at a point on the south side of Monro Road at the north-west corner of Section 98, in Rosewill Settlement, Block VII, Pareora Survey District, and proceeding in a south-westerly direction to the north-east corner of Section 96, all in Block VII, Pareora Survey District, being a distance of 42 chains or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road in the Canterbury Land District, Levels County, commencing at a point on Sutherland Road at the north-east corner of Section 91, in the Rosewill Settlement, Block VI, Pareora Survey District, and proceeding in a south-westerly direction to the north-east corner of Section 90, all in Block VI, Pareora Survey District, being a distance of 40 chains or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road in the Canterbury Land District, Levels County, commencing at a point at the north-east corner of Section 29, Cave Suburban, Block IX, Pareora Survey District, and extending in a south-westerly direction along the northern frontages of Sections 29, 28, and 26, Cave Suburban, and thence in a south-easterly direction along the frontages of Sections 26 and 27, Cave Suburban, and thence in a north-easterly direction along the southern frontages of Sections 27, 28, and 29, Cave Suburban, and terminating at the south-east corner of Section 29, all in Block IX, Pareora Survey District, being a distance of 40 chains or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road in the Canterbury Land District, Levels County, commencing at a point at the north-east corner of Section 15, Cave Village, Block IX, Pareora Survey District, and extending in a south-easterly direction between Sections 15, 18, and 22 on the one side in a direct line, and terminating at the northern boundary of Section 72, Rosewill Settlement, all in Block IX, Pareora Survey District, being a distance of 12 chains or thereabouts.

Also all that portion of road in the Canterbury Land District, Levels County, commencing at a point at the south-east corner of Section 7, Cave Village, Block IX, Pareora Survey District, and extending in a south-westerly direction between Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 18, 17, and 16, Cave Village, on the one side, and Sections 25, 24, 23, 22, and 21, Cave Suburban, on the other side, and terminating at the south-western corner of Section 16, Cave Village, all in Block IX, Pareora Survey District, being a distance of 14 chains or thereabouts; as the said roads are more particularly delineated on a plan marked R. 5467, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red, and numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.

Declaring Jacobsen’s Road, in the Rangitikei County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of March, 1908.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that road in the Wellington Land District, Rangitikei County, known as Jacobsen’s Road, commencing at its junction with the Taihape-Mataroa Road, and proceeding generally in a north-easterly direction through 4A3c No. 8, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District, terminating at and including the bridge over the Hautapu River, being a distance of 31 chains or thereabouts; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 9452, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Declaring Part of Conway Gorge Road (via Hawkeswood), in the Cheviot County, to be a County Road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of the road in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, known as the Conway Gorge to Waiau Road (via Hawkeswood), commencing at a point on the right bank of the Conway River opposite the Hundalee Road, and proceeding generally in a south-westerly direction through Sections 33, 32, and 31, Square 86, Block XI, Hawkesbury Survey District, and terminating in the bed of the Conway River, being a distance of 1 mile 20 chains, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 2857, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

THAT road in the Wellington Land District, Upper Wangaehu Road District, known as the Harakeketangi Road, commencing at its junction with the Turakina Valley-Mataroa Road, and proceeding generally in a southerly direction, intersecting Section 4 and fronting Section 11, Block XII, Maungakaretu Survey District, and terminating at the southern boundary of Section 11, Block XII aforesaid, being a distance of 1 mile 57 chains or thereabouts; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 9693, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
