A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by "The Scenery Preservation Amend-
ment Act, 1906" (hereinafter referred to as "the
said Act"), a Scenery Preservation Board is constituted,
and it is enacted that such Board shall, when so directed by
the Minister of Lands, inspect any lands possessing scenic
or historic interest, or on which there are thermal springs,
and make inquiries respecting the same, and report to the
Governor; and shall from time to time recommend what
lands, whether Crown or private, should be permanently
reserved as scenic, thermal, or historic reserves: And
whereas the said Board was duly directed to inspect and
report on the parcel of Crown land described in the Schedule
hereunder, and has recommended that the said land should
be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is
expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the powers contained in the said Act, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the parcel of Crown land
described in the Schedule hereunder shall be a scenic reserve
under "The Scenery Preservation Act, 1903," and shall be
subject to the provisions of that Act and "The Scenery
Preservation Amendment Act, 1906."

SCHEDULE.
WAIOTAPU SCENIC RESERVE (EXTENSION).
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 140 acres 2 roods 14 perches, more or less,
being Section No. 5, Block VII, Paeroa Survey District.
Bounded towards the north-east by Crown land and Sections
Nos. 3 and 1 of Block VII, Paeroa Survey District afore-
said, 3303.9 links; by the crossing of a road and Crown
land, 7200 links; towards the south-east by Crown land,
2701.8 links; towards the south-west by Paeroa East
No. 4B No. 1B Block, 5100 and 5000 links; and towards the
north-west by Rotomahana-Parekarangi No. 3A Section
No. 1B, 1016.4 links: save and except three roads which
intersect the hereinbefore-described area: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the
plan marked S.G. 51942/11, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered
red.

Commander of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight
Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Go-
vernor and Commander-in-Chief in and over
His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the
said Dominion, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this fourteenth day of March, in the
year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred
and eight.

ORAHIRI SCENIC RESERVES.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 2 acres, more or less, being Section No. 6,
Block XIV, Orahiri Survey District. Bounded towards the
north-west and west by a road, 246, 265, 237, 164, 181, and
287 links; towards the south-west and south-east by Sec-
tion No. 4A, 347 and 527 links respectively; and towards the
north-east by the Hauturu East Block No. 1B, Section No. 5,
896 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the
same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 57103/1A, de-
posited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wel-
lington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District,
containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 3 perches,
more or less, being Section No. 7, Block XIV, Orahiri
Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Sec-
tion No. 4, 628 links; and towards the south and north-
east by a road, 556 and 601 links respectively: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is de-
lineated on the plan marked S.G. 57103/1B, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the sixth section of "The Land
Act, 1892," and of every other power and authority en-
abling me in that behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket,
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof,
the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and is
hereby withdrawn from Woodville Village Settlement.

SCHEDULE.
HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—WOODVILLE VILLAGE SETTLE-
MENT.
SECTION 3, Block IV, Woodville Survey District: Area,
1 acre and 5 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
