A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be and are hereby withdrawn from Tiniroto Village Settlement.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—TINIROTO VILLAGE SETTLEMENT.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twelfth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section seventy-three of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that before any moneys as therein mentioned are expended upon any block of land it shall be necessary that the said block be proclaimed as set apart for settlement: And whereas by section twelve of the National Endowment Act, 1907, it is enacted that the Minister of Finance may from time to time, in accordance with sections seventy-three to seventy-five of the first-mentioned Act, issue and apply moneys as therein mentioned for the purposes therein set forth in connection with national endowment land: And whereas the block of land described in the Schedule hereto is national endowment land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power conferred on me by the above-mentioned Acts and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Acts, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.

SCHEDULE.

NATIONAL ENDOWMENT LAND.—WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Bruce Bay Block (2,806 Acres).

As the same is delineated upon the plan marked as above mentioned, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above noted.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by subsection three of the two-hundred-and-forty-third section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and at the request of the Otago School Commissioners, in whom the lands described in the Schedule hereto are vested, doth hereby declare that the lands described in the said Schedule, which have been reserved for educational purposes, shall be sold subject to the provisions of “The Land Act, 1892.”
