pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by "The Public Works Act, 1905," and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

PICTON-HURUNUI RAILWAY (WARD SECTION).

COMMENCING at a point on the boundary between Sections Nos. 19 and 20, Block XIV, Clifford Bay Survey District, which point is also the termination of a railway as described in a Proclamation dated the 1st day of February, 1907, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 12, of the 7th day of February, 1907; proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction for a distance of about 8 miles 44 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands—viz., Sections Nos. 19 and 20, Block XIV, Clifford Bay Survey District; lands covered by the high-water-flood level of Lake Grasmere; Section No. 16, and railway reserve in said Section No. 16, Block II, Cape Campbell Survey District; railway reserve in Blocks II, III, VI, and VII, Cape Campbell Survey District; lands covered by the highest flood-water level of Lake Elterwater; railway reserve in Block IX, Cape Campbell Survey District—and terminating at a point in said railway reserve, Block IX, Cape Campbell Survey District, marked 48 miles 25 chains: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, swamps, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Land District of Marlborough: as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 23296, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

Defining the Middle Line of a Further Portion of the Stratford-Kawakawa Branch of the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway—namely, Te Wera Section.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS a branch of the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway—namely, from Stratford to a point at or near Wangamomona (hereinafter termed "the said railway")—is a railway the construction of which is authorised by "The Railways Authorisation Act, 1900": And whereas the said railway has been partly constructed, and it has been determined to construct and maintain a further portion of the same—namely, Te Wera Section:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by "The Public Works Act, 1905," and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said further portion of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point on the eastern boundary of Section No. 14, Block IX, Ngatimaru Survey District, which point is also the termination of the line of railway described in a Proclamation dated the 22nd day of May, 1905, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 52, of the 1st day of June, 1905; proceeding thence generally in an eastern direction for a distance of about 6 miles 11 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands—viz.,

Sections Nos. 14, 13, 12, and 11, Block IX; Sections Nos. 17, 42, and 43, Block VI; Sections Nos. 3, 4, 10, 13, 14, and 12, Block X; Sections Nos. 4 and 5, Block XI—and terminating at a point in said Section No. 5 distant about 7½ chains in a northerly direction from the southernmost corner thereof: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Ngatimaru Survey District, in the Land District of Taranaki: in the manner delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 23295, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

WHEREAS the Pukekaroro Ballast-pit Siding, on the Helensville Northwards Railway (hereinafter termed "the said railway"), is a railway the construction of which is authorised by the Railways Authorisation Act, 1907: And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain the same:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by "The Public Works Act, 1905," and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

HELENSVILLE NORTHWARDS RAILWAY—PUKEKARORO BALLAST-PIT SIDING.

COMMENCING at a point on the portion of the main line of the Helensville Northwards Railway, as authorised by "The Railways Authorisation Act, 1902," the said point being marked 84 miles 5175.7 links on the mileage of the said railway, proceeding thence generally in an easterly direction for a distance of about one mile, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, viz.: Section 86, south and south-east portions of Section 105, south and south-east portions of Section 104, and south-west and south-east portions of Section 84: including all adjoining and intervening lands, places, reserves, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Parish of Kaiwaka, in the Land District of Auckland: in the manner delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 23351, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.
