Altering the Middle Line of the Branch Line from Waikaka Station on the Dunedin-Invercargill Main Line of Railway to Waikaka Township.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS under the provisions in that behalf of section one hundred and eighty-eight of "The Public Works Act, 1905," the middle line of a portion of the branch line from Waikaka Station on the Dunedin-Invercargill main line of railway to Waikaka Township was defined by a Proclamation dated the twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-seventh day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seven: And whereas it has been found necessary in the construction of such railway to alter such line in manner hereinafter appearing:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the aforesaid section one hundred and eighty-eight, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the Schedule to the said Proclamation as defines the middle line of the said railway beyond the point marked 11 miles on the plan numbered P.W.D. 22778 referred to therein; and in lieu thereof do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the part of the said railway commencing from the said point marked 11 miles aforesaid shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
GORE-WAIKAKA BRANCH RAILWAY.
COMMENCING at a point in Section No. 49, Block XIV, Chatton Survey District, the said point being marked 11 miles on the line of railway shown on plan numbered P.W.D. 22778 quoted in the Proclamation hereinbefore referred to; proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction for a distance of about 1 mile 66 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands—viz., Sections Nos. 49, 9, 12, Block XIV, Chatton Survey District; Section 1 (Recreation Reserve), Block IX, Waikaka Township; and Section 1 (School Reserve), Block V, Waikaka Township; and Section 17, Block XIV, Chatton Survey District—and terminating at a point in said Section No. 17, distant in a north-westerly direction about 8½ chains from the southernmost corner thereof: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Land District of Otago: in the manner delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 23292, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS an extension of the Picton-Hurunui Railway from a point in Block XIV, Clifford Bay Survey District, to Ward Township (hereinafter termed "the said railway") is a railway the construction of which is authorised by the Railways Authorisation Act, 1907: And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain the same:

ERRATA.—In Notice to Mariners No. 5 of 1908, published in the New Zealand Gazette, page 383, of 30th January, giving notice that a new light-vessel had been placed in Bluff Harbour in the same position and in lieu of the old one which sank in 1906, for "fixed white light" please read "fixed orange light."
In Schedule to Order in Council declaring Knight Road a county road, published in Gazette No. 1, page 13, of 9th January, 1908, for "eastern" read "western boundary, Section 1, Block XI."
