Special Order made by the Mataongaonga Road Board, County of Wanganui.

THE following special order, made by the Mataongaonga Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

MATAONGAONGA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Mataongaonga Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,400, authorised to be raised by the Mataongaonga Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the Long Acre Road from the five-mile peg to Mr. G. W. Anderson’s lower gate, the said Mataongaonga Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ikitara Special-rating District, being the whole of the property comprised within the following boundaries—that is to say, commencing at a point on the south-west corner of Section 84, Block II, Ikitara Survey District, and proceeding in an easterly direction along the southern boundaries of Sections 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, part of the eastern boundary of the said Section 88, and the southern and part of the eastern boundaries of Section 292, same block, and southern boundaries of Sections 293, 363, 365, 366, and 367, Block III; thence in a north-easterly direction along the eastern boundary of the said Section 367 to the south-west corner of Section 334, Block IV; thence along the southern boundary of Section 334 to its south-eastern corner; thence to the north-eastern corner of the said Section 334; thence in a north-westerly direction along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 334, 335, and 336, same block, and Sections 339, 340, and 341, Block III, to the north-western corner of the said Section 341; thence in a south-westerly direction by the western boundary of the said Section 341 to its south-western corner; thence in an easterly direction along the northern boundaries of Sections 350, 351, and the northern and western boundaries of Section 352, and part of the eastern boundary of Section 361, Block III, to the south-eastern corner of Section 353, Block III; thence in an easterly direction by the southern boundaries of Sections 353 and 354, Block III, to the north-western corner of Section 360, same block; thence in a southerly direction by the western boundaries of Sections 360 and 295, Block III, to the south-eastern corner of Section 359, same block; thence in an easterly direction by the southern boundaries of of Sections 359, 358, 357, and 356, Blocks III and II, to the south-eastern corner of Section 122A, Block II; thence in a southerly direction by the western boundary of Section 120, same block, to the point where it is intersected by the Mataongaonga Stream; thence in an easterly direction by the said Mataongaonga Stream to the point where it is intersected by the Kaimatira Road; thence in a south-easterly and southerly direction by the Kaimatira Road and Gordon Park Road to the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April of each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off: and that the rate of interest on the said loan be 3½ per centum per annum: and that the cost of raising the loan and interest for the first year be paid out of loan-moneys.

I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly passed in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

Special Order made by the Council of the County of Kiwitea.

THE following special order, made by the Kiwitea County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

Proposed by Councillor McIntyre, seconded by Councillor Guthrie,—

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Kiwitea County Council do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and subsection (c) of section 2 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1907,” for metalling and formation on Mangoira and Hare’s Roads within the special-rating area, the said Kiwitea County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of 2¾d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property in the Mangoire Special-rating District, comprising Sections 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, and 43, Block III, 25, Block IV, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, and 50, Block VII, Apiti Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The cost of raising the loan and the interest for the first year shall be paid out of the aforesaid sum of £600.

I, Hilton Fowler, Chairman of the Kiwitea County Council, do hereby certify that the above is a true copy of the special order adopted at a special meeting of the Council held on the 19th September, 1908, and confirmed at a special meeting held on the 17th October, 1908.

MASTERTON COUNTY.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorised to be raised by the Masterton County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for constructing headworks and distributing-races in connection with the water-supply in and for the Opaki Water-supply District, the said Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Opaki Water-supply District comprised within the following boundaries—that is to say, commencing at the point of intersection of the Upper Opaki Road with the Opaki Loop Line, and proceeding in an easterly direction bounded by the said loop line to the westernmost corner of Section 7, Block XIII, Kopuaranga Survey District; thence by the south-western and part of the south-eastern boundaries of the said Section 7 to the Waingawa to Camp Road; thence proceeding southwards by the said Waingawa to Camp Road to its intersection with the south-west boundary of the Wi Waka Native Reserve; thence by the south-west and south-east boundaries of the said Native reserve to the northernmost corner of Lot 4 of Section 56; thence by Lots 7 and 8 of Sections 5 and 2 to the south-west corner of the said Lot 8; thence by a straight line across the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 74, folio 16, to the easternmost corner of Lot 5, and by the western boundaries of Lots 5, 4, and 3 of Section 2, Block XIII, Kopuaranga, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence by a right line through the easternmost corner of the piece of land set apart for a rifle range to the road shown as Fifth Street on the plan of the Lansdowne Estate, and by the said line produced to the southern side of the said road; thence by a straight line to the south-west corner of the Golf Links, and by the southern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Golf Links to the southern boundary of Lot 11 of Section 1; thence by a straight line to the terminus of Manuka Street on the said plan; thence by a right-of-way to Sub-
