division 9 of Section 1; thence by the last-mentioned subdivision and by Section 3 to the Ruamahanga River, by the said river to the Masterton-Waimata Road; thence proceeding westwards by the Masterton-Waimata Road and by Gordon and Kitchener Streets to the point at which the eastern boundary of Lot 15, if produced in a southerly direction, would intersect the last-mentioned street; thence by a straight line to the south-east corner of the said Lot 15, by the eastern and northern boundaries of Lot 15, and by a straight line from the north-west corner of the said Lot 15 to the north-east corner of Lot 12 of Section 72, by the north boundary of the last-mentioned lot, and by the same produced westward to the western side of the Lansdowne Reservoir; thence proceeding southwards by the said reservoir, by Fourth Street, and by the Waingawa to Camp Road to its intersection with the south boundary of Section 63, by the last-mentioned boundary to the Wellington-Napier Railway line; thence proceeding northwards by the railway-line to a point to which the south-east boundary of Section 55 produced northwards would intersect the said railway-line; thence proceeding south by a straight line to the easternmost corner of said Section 55; thence by part of Section 56 to the Waipoua River, by the said river, and the Upper Opaki Road to the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MASTERTON COUNTY.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,500, authorised to be raised by the Masterton County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for providing a high-pressure water-supply for the residents of Lansdowne, the said Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Lansdowne High-pressure Water-supply District comprised within the following boundaries—that is to say, commencing at the north-west corner of Lot 88, Adams Estate, and proceeding eastwards bounded by Section 63, Block XIII, Kopuaranga Survey District, to the Waingawa to Camp Road; thence by the said road, by Fourth Street, and by the Lansdowne Reservoir to Fifth Street; thence proceeding eastwards by Fifth Street to the boundary of the Opaki Water-supply District before described in the special order of even date herewith; thence proceeding southwards by a straight line to the south-west corner of the Golf Links, by the south boundary of the said Gold Links to a point at which the eastern boundary of Lot 15 of Sections 74 and 76, produced northwards, would intersect the same; thence by a straight line to the said north-east corner of Lot 15, by the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned lot, and by the same produced southwards until it intersects the southern boundary of Kitchener Street; thence by Kitchener and Gordon Streets to the intersection of the last-mentioned street with the Masterton-Waimata Road; and thence proceeding westwards by the Masterton-Waimata Road to a point opposite the western boundary of Lot 11 of Section 86, by the last-mentioned boundary produced across the Masterton-Waimata Road; thence by an irregular line following the margin of the terrace forming part of E.R. 101 to the Waipoua River; thence proceeding in a westerly direction by the left bank of the Waipoua River, and by Subdivision 101 of Adams Estate to the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MASTERTON COUNTY.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorised to be raised by the Masterton County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling the Alfredton-Weber Road, the said Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Alfredton-Weber Road Loan Special-rating District comprised within the following boundaries—that is to say, commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 2, Block XI, Puketoi Survey District, and proceeding northwards bounded by the Waitawhiti Stream to its confluence with the Tiraumea River; thence continuing northwards by the Tiraumea River, by Sections 52–32, and 53, Block VII, by the north-eastern boundary of Section 12, and by that boundary produced to the western side of Saunders Road; thence proceeding westwards by that road, and by Section 20, Block VI, to the south-west boundary of Education Reserve No. 15, Block II; thence proceeding northwards by the said Reserve No. 15 to the public road forming part of the northern boundary of Section 21 in the last-mentioned block; thence proceeding eastwards by the said road and by the Puketoi Road to a point opposite the south-eastern corner of Section 24, Block III; thence proceeding north by a straight line across the Puketoi Road to the said corner of Section 24; thence by the said Section 24 to the Akitio County boundary; thence proceeding southwards by the Akitio County and Castlepoint County boundaries and by the Waitawhiti Stream to the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Passed at a special meeting of the Council this 10th day of November, 1908.
