Special Order made by the Council of the County of Rangitikei.

THE following special order, made by the Rangitikei County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.—Ten per Cent. Loan of £50, Mangaweka.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangitikei County Council doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” being 10 per centum additional on loan of £500, raised for the purpose of undertaking works at Mangaweka, as follows—(1) asphalting footpaths in Main Street to half their width from Bank Street to Raumaewae Street, a distance of about 34 chains; (2) graveling footpath to railway-station (about 65 chains), and formation of about 5 chains by McCann’s; (3) formation and graveling of footpath on north side of Raumaewae Street from Main Street to Mangawharariki Road (about 10 chains), and on the south side of Raumaewae Road from Mangawharariki Street to Sherson’s (about 15 chains); (4) formation and graveling footpath on west side of Mangawharariki Street from Raumaewae Street to the Mangateweka Stream (about 19 chains), and on the south side of Mangawharariki Road from the Mangateweka Stream for a distance of about 10 chains; (5) drain-overflow and pipe culverts in Weka Street; (6) overflow-culverts and straightening creek, Bank Street and Station Road — the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Mangaweka No. 2 Special-rating District, as described on page 1952 of the New Zealand Gazette of 1906, and comprising that area lying within the following boundaries—Commencing at the south-east corner of Section 4, Block IX, Town of Mangaweka North, formerly part of Raumaewae’s Reserve; thence by east boundary of said Section 4 to its north-east corner; thence in a westerly direction generally across all roads and by north boundaries of said Section 4 and Sections 3 and 2, Block IX; Sections 14, 13, 12, and 11, Block VIII; Sections 14, 13, 12, and 11, Block VII; Sections 16, 15, 14, 13, and 12, Block VI; Sections 18, 17, and 16, part west boundary of said Section 16, and north boundary of Section 15, Block V; the south-west boundary of Section 2, Block IV; and the north-east boundaries of Sections 14 and 13, Block III, all of the said Town of Mangaweka, to Main Trunk Road: thence across Main Trunk Road to north-east corner of Section 118, Mangaweka Suburbs; thence by the north-east boundary of said Section 118 to Main Trunk Railway; thence in a southerly direction generally by the Main Trunk Railway to the northern boundary of the Pouwhakarua Block; thence in an easterly direction by the said northern boundary to right bank of the Rangitikei River; thence in a northerly direction generally by the right bank of the said river to the east boundary of Section 9, Mangaweka Suburbs; thence by the said east boundary and across Mangawharariki Road to the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest to be paid at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum.

I, Robert Kirkpatrick Simpson, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 5th day of October, 1907, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Rangitikei County Council held on the 2nd day of November, 1907.

In testimony whereof the common seal of the Rangitikei County Council has been hereunto affixed.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £50, Moawhango South.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangitikei County Council doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” being 10 per centum additional on loan of £500, raised for the purpose of metalling the Moawhango Valley Road from the Pukeokahu Road to the Otuarei Stream, a distance of about one mile and a half, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅛d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Moawhango South Special-rating District, as described on pages 28 and 29 of the New Zealand Gazette of 1906, and comprising Sections 4, 5, 29, part 30 (100 acres), 34, and part 35 (100 acres), all in Block XVI, Ohinewairua Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest on such loan being at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangitikei County Council doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £70, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” being 10 per centum additional on loan of £700, raised for the purpose of constructing a bridge over the Tutaenui Stream on the Brandon Hall Road, and metalling about 80 chains of the said Brandon Hall Road, commencing at its junction with the Bull’s—Scott’s Ferry Road, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Brandon Hall Special-rating District, as described on page 2421 of the New Zealand Gazette of 1906, and comprising Sections 1 to 5 inclusive, 5A, and
