EKETAHUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order authorising Loan of £1,200.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” “The Public Health Act, 1900,” “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the several Acts amending the same respectively, the Ekatahuna Borough Council hereby resolves (by special order) to borrow the sum of £1,200 for the following purposes:—

(1.) For the purpose of repaying to General Account moneys expended by the Eketahuna Town Board on drainage-works the sum of .. 163 11 8

(2.) For the purpose of installing a drainage system in the special drainage-area in the Borough of Eketahuna the sum of .. .. .. 1,036 8 4

Such loan to be for a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and that the interest to be paid thereon be at the rate of 4 per cent., and that the security for such loan shall be an annually recurring special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the said special drainage-area, comprising Lots 8 to 36 of Section 13, Lots 8F to 22F of closed road, Lots 3 and 4 and part Lot 2 of Section 23, Lots 1 to 31 of Section 24, and Lots 2D to 4D, 1E to 3E, and 14E to 18E of closed road, Settlement of Eketahuna, and Sections 1, 2, 3, 22, 33, 82, 83, and part of 4, Township of Parkville, and that the costs of raising the loan and the first year’s interest be paid out of the loan.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Eketahuna was affixed hereto in pursuance of a resolution of the said Council passed on the 8th day of October, 1907, in the presence of—

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Eketahuna Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorised to be raised by the Eketahuna Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes—

(1.) For repaying to General Account moneys expended by the Eketahuna Town Board on drainage-works the sum of .. .. 163 11 8

(2.) For the purpose of installing a drainage system in the special drainage-area in the Borough of Eketahuna the sum of .. .. .. 1,036 8 4

the said Eketahuna Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprised in the said special drainage rating-area, comprising Lots 8 to 36 of Section 13, 8F to 22F of closed road, Lots 3 and 4 and part of 2 of Section 23, Lots 1 to 31 of Section 24, and Lots 2D to 4D, 1E to 3E, and 14E to 18E of closed road, Settlement of Eketahuna, and Sections 1, 2, 3, 22, 33, 82, 83, and part 4, Township of Parkville; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and that the cost of raising the loan and the interest thereon for the first year be paid out of the loan.

NEW PLYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order.

At a special meeting of the New Plymouth Borough Council held on the 23rd day of September, 1907, a resolution was passed:—

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Council of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,750, authorised to be raised by the Council of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth, under the above-mentioned Act, for the extension of the abattoir, the said Council of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the Borough of New Plymouth: and that such special rate be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years.

The above resolution was confirmed as a special order at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 23rd day of October, 1907.

BOROUGH OF NEW PLYMOUTH.

Abattoir Extension Loan, £1,750.

I, Edward Dockrill, Mayor of the Borough of New Plymouth, do hereby certify that the New Plymouth Borough Council has by special order made on the 23rd day of September, 1907, and confirmed on the 23rd day of October, 1907, duly authorised the raising of a sum of £1,750 by way of special loan for the purpose of an extension of the abattoir, under the provision of section 5 of “The Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1900.”
