And notice is further given that the plan of the said road and of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Te Whaiti, and is there open for inspection. And notice is also hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of such public work or the taking of such land shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister for Public Works, Wellington.

Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of Road through Small Grazing-run No. 4, Block XIV, Mangatoro Survey District.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under the authority of section 117 of “The Land Act, 1892,” that the road described in the Schedule hereto was, on the 12th day of June, 1907, duly taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said colony, by Warrant dated the 27th day of March, 1907.

SCHEDULE.

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the said road is delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.

Authorising Sale of Land in Block I, Paekakariki Survey District.

WHEREAS by section 51 of “The Railways Construction and Land Act, 1881,” it is enacted that if it is found that any land taken under the said Act is not required for railway purposes, it may, with the consent of the Minister for Public Works publicly notified and gazetted, be sold by public auction: And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is not now required for railway purposes, and the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Company (Limited) has applied for permission to sell it: Now, therefore, I, James McGowan, the Minister acting for the Minister for Public Works, in exercise of the powers and authorities aforesaid, do hereby consent to the said land being sold in the manner prescribed by and subject to the conditions of section 51 of the said Act.

In the Land District of Wellington; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 22947, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Authorising the Laying-off of Cleveden Road, in the Township of Otahuhu Extension No. 2, of a Width of not less than 66 ft.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 2 of “The Towns Main Streets Act, 1902,” I, Robert McNab, Minister of Lands, do hereby authorise the laying-off of Cleveden Road, in the Township of Otahuhu Extension No. 2, Auckland Land District, of a width of not less than 66 ft., instead of 99 ft. as prescribed by section 17 of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Prescribing the Manner in which the Account under “The Agricultural and Pastoral Statistics Act, 1895,” shall be taken.—Notice No. 1142.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Agricultural and Pastoral Statistics Act, 1895,” I, Robert McNab, Minister for Agriculture, hereby prescribe that the account referred to in section 2 of the said Act shall be taken in the following manner, viz.:—

In the Counties of Akitio, Castlepoint, Eketahuna, Mauriceville, Masterton, Wairarapa South, Featherston, Marlborough, Sounds, Waimea, Takaka, and Collingwood, in the boroughs included within the boundaries thereof, and in the adjacent islands, every owner and occupier of land, and every owner or person in charge of live-stock, shall fill up and post to the Enumerator for the district, so as to reach him not later than the 17th day of October, 1907, a return in the form to be obtained from the Enumerator.

In the remainder of the colony the collection of the returns shall be carried out by Sub-enumerators, and shall commence on the 14th day of October, and continue from day to day until the 9th day of November, 1907, unless sooner completed.
