THE following special order, made by the Kawhia County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

KAWHIA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

Public notice is hereby given that the following special order, making a special rate to meet the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, was duly passed at a special meeting of the Council on the 21st January, 1907, viz.: That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Kawhia County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000 (this is portion of a loan of £12,000 for two consecutive years’ expenditure), authorised to be raised by the Kawhia County Council, under the above-named Act, for the purpose of providing for the widening and metalling of the Waitetuna-Aotea Road, the said loan to be for a period of forty-one years, and that the interest to be paid is at the rate of 4 per centum per annum, the said Kawhia County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Waitetuna-Aotea Special-rating District, comprising Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, Block X, and
