THE following special order, made by the Hobson County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HOBSON COUNTY.
Special Order making Special Rate for Aratapu Special Drainage District Loan of £250.
Section 14 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Hobson County Council do hereby resolve as follows: That, for providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £250, authorised to be raised by the Hobson County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of excavating drains in the Aratapu Village Settlement, including Lots 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 70, 71, 73, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, and 87, and Sections 9, 10, and 11 of the Parish of Te Kopuru, the said Hobson County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of ⅝d. in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all the rateable property of and in the Aratapu Special Drainage District, and comprising the whole of the properties within the Aratapu Village Settlement aforesaid, together with the whole of the rateable property contained in Sections 9, 10, and 11, all being within the Aratapu Riding of the Parish of Te Kopuru of the Hobson County, and the said district to be known as the Aratapu Special Drainage District, such district being all those lands within the Aratapu Riding of the Hobson County comprising the Aratapu Village Settlement, together with Sections 9, 10, and 11 of the Parish of Te Kopuru; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 30th day of June in each and every year during a period of forty-one years, equal to the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as security for a loan under the said Act.
The common seal of the body corporate called the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of Hobson County was hereunto affixed by direction of the Council of Hobson County, this 15th day of August, 1907, by and in the presence of—

OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Copy of Special Order made by the Ohinemuri County Council on the 1st day of August, 1907, and confirmed on the 5th day of September, 1907.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Council of the County of Ohinemuri hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £350, authorised to be raised by the Council of the County of Ohinemuri, under the above-mentioned Act, for (a) the construction of a bridge over the Waihou River at Mangaiti, including the approaches thereto, also the construction of a road through the Ngutumanga Block to the Waitoa Stream in Block XII, Waitoa Survey District, and the construction of a bridge over the said Waitoa Stream at such road; (b) the payment of the first year’s interest; and (c) the cost of raising the said loan, the said Council of the County of Ohinemuri hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅓d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waitoa Special-rating District, comprising all the area in the County of Ohinemuri bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the south boundary of the Ohinemuri County where it intersects the west boundary of 3478D, Te Puninga No. 5, Block XI, Waitoa Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction along the said western boundary of 3478D, Te Puninga No. 5, to its most northerly point on the right bank of the Ohine Stream; thence in a general north-westerly direction along the right bank of the Ohine Stream to its junction with the Waitoa Stream; thence across the Waitoa Stream by the shortest line to the right bank of the Waitoa Stream; thence in a general north-westerly direction along the right bank of the Waitoa Stream to its contact with the southern point of 3929A, Koromatua No. 2; thence in a north-east direction along the south-east boundary of 3929A, Koromatua No. 2, to its most easterly point; thence in a north-east direction along the north-west boundary of Te Tautiti No. 2 and part of the north-west boundary of the Thames Borough Endowment to their contact with the left bank of the Waihou River; thence in a general south-easterly direction along the left bank of the Waihou River to a point opposite to the left bank of the mouth of the Waitoki Stream; thence across the Waihou River to the left bank of the Waitoki Stream at its mouth; thence in a general easterly direction along the left bank of the Waitoki Stream to its intersection by the north-east boundary of 3988B; thence in a north-westerly direction along the said north-eastern boundary of 3988B, No. 1B, to its intersection with the north boundary of Block VIII, Waitoa Survey District; thence in an easterly direction along the north boundaries of Block VIII, Waitoa Survey District, and Block V, Aroha Survey District, to its intersection of the east side of the Paeroa–Te Aroha Main Road; thence in a north-easterly direction along the east side of the Paeroa–Te Aroha Main Road to its intersection with south boundary of 3988A, Te Paeroa Block No. 2; thence in an easterly direction along the south boundary of said 3988A, Te Paeroa No. 2 Block, to its most easterly point; thence in a south-easterly and south-westerly direction along the western boundaries of 4487, Pukemokemoke Block, to its intersection with the right bank of Waitoki Stream; thence in a general easterly direction along the right bank of the Waitoki Stream to its intersection with the old goldfields boundary-line; thence in a southerly direction along the said old goldfields boundary-line to its intersection with the north boundary of Section 19, Block V, Aroha Survey District; thence in a north-easterly direction along northern boundary of said Section 19, Block V, Aroha Survey District, to its most northerly point; thence by a straight line in a southerly direction along the east boundaries of Sections 19, 18, 21, and 22, Block V, Aroha Survey District, and east boundaries of Sections 23, 24, 27, 27A, 28, 29, and 29A, and those boundaries prolonged in a southerly direction to the north-east boundary of Section 14, Block IV, Aroha Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction along the north-east boundary of said Section 14, Block IX, Aroha Survey District, to the south boundary of the Ohinemuri County; thence in a westerly direction along the south boundary of Ohinemuri County to the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, with interest at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum.
