Such resolution will be passed at a Board meeting to be held on the 26th June.

BARRETT ROAD BOARD.

Special Order striking Rate.

Notice is hereby given that at a special meeting held on Wednesday, the 26th June, 1907, the following resolution was passed:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901” (and all other powers, if any, thereunto enabling it), the Barrett Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan of £150, authorised to be raised by the Barrett Road Board, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of forming Devon Road, in the County of Taranaki, in the parts where the said road is at present unformed and is within the boundary over which the said Board has control, the said Barrett Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/10d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Devon Road Special-rating District, comprising the particulars as advertised and to be seen at the office of the Board, Brougham Street, New Plymouth; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the said loan is paid off.

Notice is hereby given that the Barrett Road Board proposes to confirm the foregoing resolution as a special order at a meeting of the Board to be held at the office of the Board, Brougham Street, New Plymouth, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the 31st July, 1907.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order made on 22nd day of July, 1907; confirmed on 23rd day of August, 1907.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorised to be raised by the Cook County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the erection of a cart-bridge across the Pakarae River, and the construction of the connecting-road, the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/10d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Pakarae Bridge Special-rating District, comprising the Tologa Riding of the County of Cook; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 4 per cent.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cook was hereto affixed in the presence of—
