THE following special order, made by the Waipa County
Council, is published in accordance with the provisions
of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,”
the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £2,500, authorised to be raised by the
said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for grading,
metalling, and forming roads in the Hamilton Riding, the
said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a
rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all
rateable property of the Hamilton Riding, comprising
all lands included in the said riding, as defined in the New
Zealand Gazette of 17th May, 1883, page 655, under the
heading “Hamilton Road District”; and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of
February and the 1st day of August in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-
six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above special order was made at
a special meeting of the Waipa County Council held on the
11th day of June, 1907, and confirmed at a subsequent
meeting of the said Council held on the 6th day of August,
1907.

Newcastle Riding, comprising all lands included in the
said riding, as defined in the New Zealand Gazette of 17th
May, 1883, page 655, under the headings of “Newcastle
Road District” and “Ngaruawahia Town Road District”;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of
August in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

Special Order authorising Payment of Interest out of General
Fund.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by section 5 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans
Amendment Act, 1902,” the Waipa County Council hereby
resolves as follows: That the interest and sinking fund on a
loan of £1,500, borrowed to pay the said Council’s share of
the cost of erecting a bridge over the Waikato River at
Cambridge, be paid out of the general fund of the county,
such loan being secured by a special rate of ½d. in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the
County of Waipa, comprising all lands included in the said
County, as defined under the provisions of “The Counties
Act, 1886.”
I hereby certify that the above special order was made at
a special meeting of the Waipa County Council held on the
11th day of June, 1907, and confirmed at a subsequent
meeting of the said Council held on the 18th day of July,
1907.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the
Heathcote Road Board, is published in accordance
with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1901.”

HEATHCOTE ROAD BOARD.
Notice pursuant to the Provisions of “The Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1901.”
PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1901,” I hereby give notice that a poll of the rate-
payers in respect of properties comprised within the Cash-
mere Hills Drainage-area, the boundaries of which are as
follows—commencing at the junction of Colombo Road,
Hills Road, and Dyer’s Pass Road; thence in a southerly
direction along the Dyer’s Pass Road to the north-western
boundary of Reserve 161; thence easterly to the north-
eastern boundary of Reserve 161; thence northerly by the
eastern boundary of Rural Sections 2147, 4349, and 2045;
thence westerly along the northern boundary of Rural
Section 2045 to the south-west corner of Rural Section 1935;
thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Rural Sec-
tion 34653 and westerly along the northern boundary of
Rural Sections 34653, 2047, and 1713 to the south-eastern
boundary of Rural Section 813; thence northerly along the
eastern boundary of Rural Section 813 to the Hills Road;
thence westerly along the Hills Road to the place of com-
mencement—in the Heathcote Road District, to decide by
vote of the ratepayers whether the proposal for raising
a special loan of £2,000 for a period of twenty years,
with interest and sinking fund at £5 per centum per
annum, of which £4 10s. per centum is for interest
and 10s. per centum for sinking fund, any surplus remain-
ing from the special annual-recurring rate after payment
of interest and other charges to be added to the sink-
ing fund, notice of which was published in the Press of the
19th and 26th June and the 3rd, 10th, and 17th July, 1907,
should be carried into effect, was duly taken in a marquee
erected on the Dyer’s Pass Road, Cashmere Hills, on
Thursday, 1st August, 1907, between the hours of 9 a.m.
and 6 p.m. of the said day.
And I hereby give further notice that at the taking of the
said poll the votes of the said ratepayers in the said Cash-
mere Hills Drainage-area were given as follows: For the
proposal, 36; against the proposal, 0.
The total number of valid votes recorded at the said poll
in favour of the said proposal exceeds three-fifths of the
total number of valid votes recorded thereat, I therefore
declare the said proposal carried.
