Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority granted to him by “The Harbours Act, 1878,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby prescribe that, from and after the date of the publication of this Order in Council in the New Zealand Gazette, the dues and rates set forth in the Schedule hereto shall be charged and taken for the use of the said wharf.
SCHEDULE.

THE dues and rates hereby prescribed shall apply to the wharf so constructed by the County Council of the County of Hokianga as aforesaid.

Every person who shall use the said wharf with any vessel shall pay to the County Council of the County of Hokianga, or to its officer or other person appointed or authorised by it to receive the dues and rates hereby prescribed, for the use thereof, as follows, that is to say,—
For every vessel lying alongside the wharf—
(a.) One halfpenny per ton per day or part of a day for every ton register up to 100 tons.
(b.) Exceeding 100 tons, ½d. per ton per day or part of a day for the first 100 tons, and ¼d. per ton per day or part of a day for every ton over 100 tons.
Every person who shall use the wharf for landing or shipping goods, or whose goods are stored in any shed on the wharf, shall pay wharf-dues in respect of the landing or shipping, storage, and receiving such goods, as follows, that is to say,—
(a.) For all goods landed, shipped, stored, or received, at weight or measurement, according to shipping usage.

Additional Regulations for Controlling Traffic on Lake Rotorua.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, 1907.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twelfth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and six, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighteenth day of January then instant, certain regulations were made, under the provisions of “The Harbours Act, 1878,” for controlling the traffic on Lake Rotorua, and for the management of the wharves erected therein, and prescribing dues for the use thereof: And whereas it is expedient to make the further regulations hereinafter set forth in addition thereto:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section twelve of “The Harbours Act, 1878,” and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby make the regulations contained in the Schedule hereto as an addition to the said regulations of the twelfth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and six; and doth direct that this Order in Council shall come into force on the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seven.
SCHEDULE.

THE following provisions shall apply with respect to the dinghy-grid and shed at the wharf at the Town of Rotorua:—
(a.) Spaces on the grid, each 5 ft. wide, may be leased from the Department from year to year at a rental of £1 per annum payable in advance, but the renewal thereof shall be at the discretion of the Department.
(b.) The lessee of each space rented will be entitled to the use of one of the oar-lockers.
(c.) Each dinghy shall have the name of the lessee of the space occupied painted on the hull in a conspicuous position.
(d.) All dinghys, when not drawn up on the grid, must be moored at least 50 yards from the wharf and so as not to obstruct the approach thereto.
(e.) Any dinghy drawn up on the grid not bearing the name of one of the lessees of spaces, and also any dinghy moored for more than one hour at a time within 50 yards of the wharf, or so as to obstruct the approach thereto, may be removed to the works-yard.
(f.) The cost of repairing any damage done to the grid or shed shall be paid by the person causing such damage or, when he was acting on behalf of any lessee, by such lessee. -
The preceding regulation shall form part of and be read with the said regulations made on the 12th day of January, 1906.

Prescribing a Close Season for Mullet.
PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, 1907.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section four of “The Sea fisheries Act, 1894” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, among other things, enacted that the Governor in Council may from time to time make regulations for the purposes therein mentioned, which shall have general force and effect throughout the colony, or particular force and effect only in any waters or places specified therein:
And whereas it is expedient to make the regulations hereinafter set forth prescribing a close season for the fish of the species of Mugil known as mullet or kanae, inhabiting the waters of the colony hereinafter described:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby make the following regulations, to have force and effect within the waters hereafter specified in the said regulations:—
REGULATIONS.

The period from the first day of December in one year to the twenty-eighth day of February in the next succeeding year, both days inclusive, is hereby prescribed a close season in respect of the fish of the species of Mugil known as mullet or kanae, during which close season it shall be unlawful for any person to take any such fish contrary to the provisions of the said Act.

These regulations shall, until revoked or altered, have force and effect in all waters, as defined by the said Act, in the North Island of New Zealand.

Any person committing a breach of these regulations shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding twenty pounds nor less than twenty shillings, to be recovered as is by the said Act provided.
