Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, Westland County.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, 1907.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that, owing to unavoidable circumstances, the preparation of the rolls for the County of Westland, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times limited by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by “The Counties Act Amendment Act, 1903,” and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

  1. For preparing the defaulters’ list and the rolls for ridings within the County of Westland: Until the 27th day of July, 1907.

  2. Time for which such list and rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 27th day of July, 1907, to the 15th day of August, 1907.

  3. Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 15th day of August, 1907.

  4. Revision Courts may sit for hearing applications with reference to the said rolls, and adjourn: Until the 31st day of August, 1907.

  5. Time when the said rolls, having been duly corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 2nd day of September, 1907.

Recreation Reserve in Southland Land District brought under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, 1907.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Southland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such reserve shall hereafter form part of Croydon Bush Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 110 acres 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being Section No. 885, Block LXIX, Hokonui Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east generally by Section No. 819 in the said Block LXIX and by a public road, 7088·2, 102, and 1252·1 links respectively; towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 773 and 774, 2183·6 links; towards the south-west generally by Crown land, 8643·2 links; and towards the north-west by Section No. 423, 1917·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 21388/52, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Vesting a Reserve in Trustees.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, 1907.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved for a site for a public hall:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in trustees:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the undermentioned persons, viz.:

Nireaha Tamaki, of Hamua, Native chief;
John Cavanagh, Sen., of Hamua, farmer;
John Kay, of Hamua, teacher;
Archibald Tuckwell, of Hamua, saddler; and
Robert Smith, of Konini, farmer,

in trust for a site for a public hall.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Subdivision J No. 4c, Mangatainoka Block (Block XIV, Mangahao Survey District). Commencing at a point on the western side of the main road from Eketahuna 301·3 links in a south-westerly direction from the junction of the said road with the Hukanui Road: bounded towards the north-east by Subdivision J No. 4r, Mangatainoka Block, 250 links; towards the north-west by the same subdivision, 100 links; towards the south-west by the same subdivision, 250 links; and towards the south-east by the above-mentioned main road to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 56981/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Vesting Reserves in the Auckland City Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, 1907.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been permanently reserved for the purpose of a water-supply for the City of Auckland:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Auckland City Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the City of Auckland, in trust, for the purpose of a water-supply for the City of Auckland.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 34 acres, more or less, being northern portion of Section No. 63, Parish of Waitakerei. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 62, 1180 links; towards the east generally by the Waitakerei Stream; towards the south-east by south-eastern portion of Section No. 63, 2470 links; and towards the west generally by a public road, 166·8, 321·3, 347, 1235·7, 689·7, and 281·9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 40969/19A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
