UPPER WANGAEHU ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.
RESOLVED that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon it by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and its amendments, the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, by special order, hereby resolves and ordains that the number of members of the said Upper Wangaehu Road Board shall be increased to seven, and that this special order shall take effect and come into force on the 7th day of April, 1907.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL.
That, in accordance with the prayer of the petition presented, the Tauhoa Road District be merged in the County of Rodney, and the Tauhoa Road Board be dissolved. The order to take effect on 10th January, 1907.

MOUNT STUART ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.
THAT the Mount Stuart Road Board, by special order, under the provisions of sections 2, 4, and 6 of “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1900,” adopt the Second Schedule of “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1900,” and declare that the weeds gorse, broom, and ragweed mentioned in the Second Schedule of the said Act shall be deemed to be noxious weeds within the Mount Stuart Road District.

THE following special order, made by the Patea East Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

PATEA EAST ROAD BOARD.
Special Order made by Patea East Road Board at a Special Meeting held on 3rd November, 1906, and confirmed at Special Meeting held on 8th December, 1906.
THE Patea East Road Board hereby makes, by special order, the following by-laws under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1905”:—

Heavy traffic under these by-laws means—
(a.) The transportation of any vehicle, engine, or machine which itself or together with any thing or things being transported thereon weighs more than one and a half tons avoirdupois to each pair of wheels.
(b.) The traction of any vehicle or thing by means of bullocks, notwithstanding that such vehicle or thing may separately or together with any load thereon weigh less than one and a half tons avoirdupois. -
No person shall conduct, or cause to be conducted, or be concerned in any way in conducting, any heavy traffic on any road under the care, control, or management of the Patea East Road Board between the 14th day of May and the 14th day of September in each year.

The weight or measurement of the contents of any vehicle or machine conducted or being on any such road as aforesaid may be computed from the cubical or superficial measurement thereof in manner hereinafter provided.

For the purpose of such computation as aforesaid the quantities of material of the several descriptions mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be deemed to be of the respective weights or measurements, as the case may be, set opposite the same respectively in the said Schedule. The weight or measurement so computed shall be final and conclusive in any proceedings to recover a fine for breach of these by-laws.

Any person authorised in that behalf by the said Road Board may stop and detain any vehicle or machine conducted or being on any such road as aforesaid which in his opinion infringes any of these by-laws until the weight of such vehicle or machine and the load thereon can be ascertained in manner provided by these by-laws, or until the weight or measurements of the contents of such vehicle or machine can be ascertained in like manner.

The driver of any vehicle or machine conducted or being on any such road as aforesaid shall give to any person authorised as aforesaid such information as to the load or contents of any such vehicle or machine, and the quantity, weight, or measurement of the same, and shall do all such acts for the purpose of enabling the same to be ascertained in manner provided by these by-laws as such authorised person requests.
