THE following special order, made by the Waimarino County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the amendments thereof, the Waimarino County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £700, authorised to be raised by the Waimarino County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the amendments thereof, for the purpose of reforming and metalling the Waipuna Ridge Road, commencing at the junction of the same with the Raetihi-Pipiriki Road, and continuing on the Waipuna Ridge Road towards Section 14, Block IX, Makotuku Survey District, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound (unimproved value) on all rateable property included in the Waipuna Ridge Road Special-rating Area, comprising Sections 3, 12, 5, 4, 8, 9, 14, 11, 7, 2, and 10, Block IX, Makotuku Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest on such loan to be at the rate of 4 per centum per annum; also the cost of raising the loan and the first year’s interest to be paid out of the aforesaid loan of £700.

I certify the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Waimarino County Council held on the 8th day of December, 1906, and confirmed at the regular meeting of the said Council held on the 12th day of January, 1907.

Special Order made by the Mataongaonga Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Mataongaonga Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

MATAONGAONGA ROAD BOARD.

Copy of Special Order made by the Mataongaonga Road Board at a Special Meeting of the Board held on the 20th day of September, 1906, and subsequently confirmed at a Meeting of the Board held on the 15th day of November, 1906.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Mataongaonga Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of 10 per cent. of the original £800 loan raised for Morgan Street and other works, authorised to be raised by the Mataongaonga Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of (1) erecting a culvert and filling on the River-bank Road, £100; (2) acquiring land for a road to connect Morgan Street, Sedgebrook, with the No. 3 Line of road, and forming and metalling such road and erecting a new bridge thereon, £410; (3) erecting a new bridge and approaches near Mr. Pask’s property, No. 3 Line, £250; and (4) erecting a new culvert opposite Mr. Horsley’s property, No. 3 Line, £40, the said Mataongaonga Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/160d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Mataongaonga Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, Robert Neilson, Chairman of the Mataongaonga Road Board, do hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a special order adopted by resolution of the Mataongaonga Road Board passed at a special meeting of the said Board held on the 20th day of September, 1906, and subsequently confirmed at a meeting of the said Board held on the 15th day of November, 1906.

WANGANUI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Copies of Special Orders made by the Wanganui County Council at a Special Meeting of the Council held on the 3rd day of October, 1906, and subsequently confirmed at a Meeting of the Council held on the 7th day of November, 1906.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and amendments thereto, the Wanganui County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on a further loan of £98, being 10 per cent. of the original loan, authorised to be raised by the Wanganui County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of acquiring land for a road to connect Okoia with Matarawa, and forming and metalling and providing necessary culverts for the said road, the said Wanganui County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/20d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Matarawa Special-rating District, the boundaries of which are as follows—commencing at the point where the eastern boundary of Section 127, Block VII, Ikitara Survey District, touches the No. 2 Line of roads, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of said Section 127 and Section 126, same block, to the north-eastern corner of Section 128, same block; thence along the southern boundary of Section 270, same block, and the southern boundaries of Sections 315
