Waipoua River in line with the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 31, Masterton Small-farm Block, to the middle of the Nursery Road ; thence towards the south-east by a line along the middle of the said Nursery Road and its production to the middle of Kuripuni Creek; thence towards the south-west generally by a line along the middle of the said Kuripuni Creek to a point in line with the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 30, Manaia Block; thence again towards the south-east by a right line to the northernmost corner of the said Section No. 30, and by the said Section No. 30 to the north-east corner of Section No. 29; thence again towards the south-west by the last-mentioned section to its northernmost corner; thence again towards the south-east by said Section No. 29 to the easternmost corner of Section No. 3 of the said Manaia Block; thence again towards the south-west by the north-eastern boundary-line of the said Section No. 3 and that boundary-line produced to the middle of the South Road; thence again towards the south-east by a line along the middle of the said South Road to a point in line with the northern side of Junction Road; thence towards the south by a right line to and thence by the northern side of Junction Road, and by the last-mentioned line produced to its intersection by a line along the middle of High Street, Borough of Masterton; thence towards the north-west by a line along the middle of the said High Street to its intersection by a line along the middle of Solway Street; thence again towards the south-west by a right line across Section No. 43, Manaia Block, to the intersection of a line along the middle of the Railway Road with a line along the middle of a road forming the south-western boundary-line of Sections Nos. 34 to 41, Masterton Small-farm Block; thence again towards the north-west by a line along the middle of the said Railway Road to the intersection of the last-mentioned line by a line along the middle of Ngaumutawa Road; thence by a right line to a point on the right bank of the Waipoua River in line with the north-western boundary-line of Section No. 31, Masterton Small-farm Block, the place of commencement.

Milton Fire District defined.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of May, 1907.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section thirty of “The Fire Brigades Act, 1906” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor may by Order in Council from time to time, on application of any Borough Council, declare any area under the control of such Borough Council to be a fire district under the said Act: And whereas such application has been made by the Milton Borough Council in respect of the area described in the Schedule hereto, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, and it appears expedient to grant the said application:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a fire district under the said Act, that the name of such district shall be “The Milton Fire District,” and that the boundaries thereof shall be those set forth in the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

THE MILTON FIRE DISTRICT.

All that area in the Land District of Otago, containing by admeasurement 265 acres 1 rood 35 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 134, 135, and 137 (Block XVII), part of Section No. 102 (Block XII), and parts of Sections Nos. 130, 131, and 132 (Block XVI), all of Tokomairiro Survey District, and known as the Borough of Milton. Bounded by a line commencing at a point, the said point being the intersection of the eastern boundary-line of the road reserve running along the left bank of the Tokomairiro River with the south-eastern boundary-line of the Invercargill and Dunedin Railway Reserve, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction along the last-mentioned boundary-line to its intersection with the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 103, Block XII, Tokomairiro Survey District; thence along the last-mentioned boundary-line in a south-easterly direction to the Main South Road; thence in a south-westerly direction along the north-western side of the said Main South Road and the crossing of a public road to the easternmost corner of Section No. 130, Block XVI, of the said survey district; thence again in a south-easterly direction along a right line crossing the said Main South Road and its continuation along the south-western side of a public road to the easternmost corner of Section No. 135, Block XVII, of the said survey district; thence again in a south-westerly direction along a right line to the westernmost corner of Section No. 136 of the said Block XVII; thence again along a right line in a south-easterly direction to the easternmost corner of Section No. 137, Block XVII aforesaid; thence again in a south-westerly direction along a right line which forms the south-eastern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section to the road reserve running along the left bank of the Tokomairiro River; and thence north-westerly along the last-mentioned road reserve to the place of commencement.

Maori Hill Fire District defined.

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a fire district under the said Act, that the name of such district shall be “The Maori Hill Fire District,” and that the boundaries thereof shall be those set forth in the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

MAORI HILL FIRE DISTRICT.

All that area in the Otago Land District being the East and South Wards of the Borough of Maori Hill. Bounded towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 66 and 65, Block XI, North Harbour and Blueskin District; thence towards the south-east by Section No. 8, Block X; again towards the north-east by the last-mentioned section; and again towards the south-east by Section No. 6, Block X aforesaid, and the north-western boundary-line of that section produced through Sections Nos. 4, 1, and 475x; thence again towards the north-east by the said Section No. 475x to the north-western corner of the City of Dunedin; thence again towards the south-east by the City of Dunedin to the easternmost corner of Section No. 7, Block I, Upper Kaikorai Survey District; thence towards the south-west generally by the last-mentioned section to the road at the northernmost corner of that section; thence by the said road to the Waikari Road; and thence by the said Waikari Road to the southernmost corner of Section No. 14, Block II, Upper Kaikorai Survey District; thence towards the north-west generally by the last-mentioned section, Section No. 1, Block II aforesaid, and by Block XI, Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the said Block XI; thence again towards the south-west by Block XI aforesaid and the road forming the south western boundaries of Sections Nos. 1 of 73, 2 of 73, and 74, Block XI, North Harbour and Blueskin District; and thence again towards the north-west generally by the road forming the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned section to the Water of Leith; thence by the Water of Leith to the westernmost corner of Section No. 72, Block XI, North Harbour and Blueskin District; and thence by the road forming the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 72, 70, and 68, said Block XI, to Section No. 66, the place of commencement.
