Waimate Fire District defined.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of May, 1907.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section thirty of “The Fire Brigades Act, 1906” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor may by Order in Council, from time to time, on application of any Borough Council, declare any area under the control of such Borough Council to be a fire district under the said Act: And whereas such application has been made by the Waimate Borough Council in respect of the area described in the Schedule hereto, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, and it appears expedient to grant the said application:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a fire district under the said Act, that the name of such district shall be “The Waimate Fire District,” and that the boundaries thereof shall be those set forth in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

THE WAIMATE FIRE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Land District of Canterbury known as the Borough of Waimate. Bounded by lines commencing at a point at the south-western corner of Rural Section No. 4311; thence along the western boundary of said section and of that of Rural Section No. 7494 to the north-western corner of the last-named section; thence along the northernmost boundary of the last-named section to a point in line with the westernmost boundary of Rural Section No. 2513; thence in a line with and along the western boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 2513, 2697, and 5691, and in a continuous line to the southernmost boundary of Rural Section No. 6243; thence along the said boundary of Rural Section No. 6243 and of Rural Section No. 5725 to the south-eastern corner of the last-named section; thence along the easternmost boundary of the last-named section to a point in a line with the northernmost boundary of Rural Section No. 5647; thence in a line with and along the last-named boundary to the north-eastern corner of the said section; thence along the easternmost boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 5647, 5611, and 2521 to the south-eastern corner of the last-named section; thence along the southernmost boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 5726, 5965, and 6217 to the south-eastern corner of the last-named section; thence at a right angle with the last-mentioned boundaries to a point on the westernmost bank of the Waimate Creek; and from thence returning along the western and northern banks of the said creek to the starting-point.

Recreation Reserve in Marlborough Land District brought under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of May, 1907.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Marlborough Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881”; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as Flaxbourne Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

FLAXBOURNE DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 14 acres and 32 perches, more or less, being Section No. 10, Block VI, Town of Ward. Bounded towards the north by the Needles Creek; towards the east by Crown land, 1620 links; towards the south by a public road, 1000 links; and towards the west by Ward Street, 1200 links, and by Section No. 12, 400 and 475 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 18886/488, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

OKAIN’S BAY DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 13 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 3734, situated in Block IV, Okain’s Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west and north-east by the road reserve along high-water mark of Okain’s Bay; towards the south-east by the road forming the northern boundary of Section No. 16024; and towards the south-west by the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Sections Nos. 4976, 10817, and 2911: save and except therefrom the area necessary to give access to the wharf and for other purposes connected therewith: as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 55281, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” and the amendments thereof (including “The Domain Boards Act, 1904”), His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and two, delegating powers to the One-Tree Hill Domain Board, and doth hereby appoint

The Member for the Electoral District of Manukau (ex officio),

The Mayor of the Borough of Onehunga (ex officio),

The Chairman of the One-Tree Hill Road Board (ex officio),
