Extending Hour for Closing Poll at Election of Members of Spreydon Road Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of April, 1907.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. HALL-JONES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by “The Local Elections Act, 1904,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the hour at which the poll for the election of members of the Spreydon Road Board, to be held and taken, under “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” in the Spreydon Road District on the second day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seven, shall close, to seven o’clock in the afternoon of the same day.

Feilding Fire District defined.


PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of April, 1907.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE W. HALL-JONES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section thirty of “The Fire Brigades Act, 1906” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor may by Order in Council from time to time, on application of any Borough Council, declare any area under the control of such Borough Council to be a fire district under the said Act: And whereas such application has been made by the Feilding Borough Council in respect of the area described in the Schedule hereto, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, and it appears expedient to grant the said application:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a fire district under the said Act, that the name of such district shall be “The Feilding Fire District,” and that the boundaries thereof shall be those set forth in the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

FEILDING FIRE DISTRICT.

All that area in the Land District of Wellington known as the Borough of Feilding. Bounded towards the north generally by Section No. 184, Block XIV, Oroua Survey District, from its south-western corner to the Railway Reserve; thence by the production of the southern boundary-line of the said Section No. 184 to the eastern side of Makino Road; thence by the said Makino Road to the south-western corner of Section No. 162; thence by Sections Nos. 162, 173, 174, 175, 176, and 177 to Reid’s road-line; thence by the production of the eastern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section to the north-eastern side of the said Reid’s road-line; thence by the north-eastern side of that road-line to the south-eastern side of Kimbolton Road; thence towards the east generally by the south-eastern side of the said Kimbolton Road to the Kiwitea Stream; thence by the left bank of the said Kiwitea Stream to the confluence of the said Kiwitea Stream with the Oroua River; thence by the said Oroua River to the Railway Reserve; thence towards the south generally by the said Railway Reserve to South Street; thence by the south side of South Street to Awahuri Road; thence by the east side of Awa-
huri Road to a point in line with the southern boundary-line of Section No. 85, Block XIV aforesaid; thence by a right line to the south-eastern corner of that section; thence by the southern boundary-line of the said Section No. 85 for a distance of 796 links; thence towards the west generally by a right line bearing 354° 0′ 11″ (magnetic) to the road forming the northern boundary of Section No. 132; thence by that road to the north-eastern corner of the said Section No. 132; thence by a right line to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 130, Block XIV aforesaid; and thence by the said Section No. 130 to the south-western corner of Section No. 184 aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Oamaru Fire District defined.

WHEREAS by section thirty of “The Fire Brigades Act, 1906” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor may by Order in Council from time to time, on application of any Borough Council, declare any area under the control of such Borough Council to be a fire district under the said Act: And whereas such application has been made by the Oamaru Borough Council in respect of the area described in the Schedule hereto, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, and it appears expedient to grant the said application:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a fire district under the said Act, that the name of such district shall be “The Oamaru Fire District,” and that the boundaries thereof shall be those set forth in the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

THE OAMARU FIRE DISTRICT.

All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,111 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Block I, Oamaru Survey District; towards the east by the ocean; towards the south-west and north-west by Block IV of said district; and again towards the north-west by Block II.

Palmerston North Fire District defined.
