Declaring Part of Taihape-Mataroa Road, in Upper Wangaehu Road District, to be a District Road.
PLUNKET, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of March, 1907.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. HALL-JONES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a district road.
SCHEDULE.
TAIHAPE-MATAROA ROAD.
ALL that portion of the Taihape-Mataroa Road, situated in the Upper Wangaehu Road District, Wellington Land District, commencing at the bridge crossing the North Island Main Trunk Railway line in Mataroa Township, and proceeding generally in an easterly direction, fronting Sections 20, 21, and 22, Mataroa Township; thence along frontages of Section 3, Block IX, Ohinewairua Survey District; thence intersecting Sections 4 and 4A, and fronting parts Section 5, Block IX aforesaid; thence intersecting Section 7 in the said Block IX; thence in a southerly direction, intersecting 4A3C No. 7, Block XIII, Ohinewairua Survey District; and terminating at the boundary between the Wanganui and Rangitikei Counties; being a distance of 3 miles 71 chains, more or less: as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 840(1), deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured red, and lettered B.C.

TAIHAPE-WAIORU ROAD.
ALL that portion of the Taihape-Waiouru Road, situated in the Upper Wangaehu Road District, Wellington Land District, commencing at the boundary between the Wanganui and Rangitikei Counties, and proceeding generally in a northerly direction, fronting Sections 11, 8, 19, 17, and 16, Block X, Ohinewairua Survey District; thence through Native land to the junction with the Moawhango-Te Horo Road; thence in a north-westerly direction through Native land in Blocks VI and V, Ohinewairua Survey District, passing through the Township of Turangarere; and terminating at the crossing of the Hautapu River, in Block V, Ohinewairua Survey District; being a distance of 10 miles 25 chains, more or less: as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 831, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured red.

ALL that portion of the Taihape-Mataroa Road, situated in the Rangitikei County, Wellington Land District, commencing at the boundary between the Wanganui and Rangitikei Counties, and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction, intersecting 4A3C No. 7, Block XIII, Ohinewairua Survey District, and 4A3C No. 8, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District, and terminating at the north-western corner of Section 74, Block XIV aforesaid, being a distance of 1 mile 2 chains or thereabouts; as the said road is delineated on the plan marked R. 840, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured blue.

ALL that portion of the road in the Wellington Land District, Rangitikei County, known as the Matawhero Road, commencing at its junction with the Horouta-Pukeokahu Road, and proceeding generally in an easterly direction for a distance of 3 miles 4 chains or thereabouts, fronting Sections 3 and 2, Block V, Pukeokahu Survey District; thence along frontage of Section 1 and part frontage of Section 2, Block VI, Pukeokahu Survey District: as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked R. 6071, deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, thereon coloured red.
