A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by
section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its
amendments. I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the owners
of the land hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of
the Waipu County Council, being the local authority in
whose district the said land is situated, do by this notice
hereby proclaim as taken for a road the land in Hikurangi
Survey District hereinafter described, that is to say,—

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as
above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief
Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land
District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight
Commander of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight
Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Go-
vernor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His
Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its De-
pendencies; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington,
this thirtieth day of March, in the year of our
Lord one thousand nine hundred and seven.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the
Purposes of a Road in Borough of Hamilton.

PLUNKET, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land reserved and taken for the pur-
poses of the Waikato-Thames Railway (Hamilton Branch
Section), and it is considered desirable to allocate such land
to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister for
Railways that such land is not required for railway pur-
poses: And whereas such land is situated in the Borough
of Hamilton, the local authority of which has assented to
the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion
that the said local authority can conveniently construct and
maintain the said road:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by
section one hundred and ninety-seven of “The Public
Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand
Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be
under the control of the Corporation of the Borough of
Hamilton, and shall be maintained by the said Corporation
in like manner as other public highways are controlled and
maintained by the said Corporation.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in
Blocks I and II, Hamilton Survey District, containing
1 acre and 23·8 perches, more or less, and being a portion of
railway land in the Borough of Hamilton. Bounded on the
north-east by the north-eastern boundary of the railway
land, a distance of 2298 links; on the south-east by the
north-western side of Hinemoa Street, a distance of 50 links;
on the south-west by a line parallel to, 50 links distant from,
and south-west of the north-eastern boundary of the railway
land, a distance of 2298 links; and on the north-west by
the south-eastern side of Victoria Street, a distance of
50 links: as the said parcel of land is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked 15137, deposited in the office
of the Minister for Railways, at Wellington, and thereon
coloured purple.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Wellington-
Napier Railway to take further land in Belmont Survey
District, in addition to land previously acquired for the
purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the
powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-
nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of “The Public
Works Act, 1905,” and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
