THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of completing the erection of a Town Hall and
municipal offices in the Borough of Oamaru, the said Oamaru
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
2d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable pro-
perty of the Borough of Oamaru; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 28th day of May and
the 28th day of November in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.
And notice is hereby also given that the said resolution
will be submitted to a special meeting of the said Council to
be held in the Borough Council Chambers, Thames Street,
Oamaru, on Tuesday, the 12th day of March, 1907, at
7.30 p.m., for confirmation as a special order..

Alterations to the Scale of Fares, Rates, and Charges in Force
upon the New Zealand Government Railways.
IN pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling me
under “The Government Railways Act, 1900,” I,
William Hall-Jones, Minister for Railways, do hereby make
the following alterations in the scale of fares, rates, and
charges in force on the New Zealand Government railways
open for traffic, such alterations to come into force on and
after the 1st day of April, 1907:—
PART IV.—GOODS: LOCAL RATES.
HURUNUI—BLUFF.
Cancel—
Goods for Christchurch and Invercargill.
When goods of Classes A, B, C, D, and E are con-
signed to Christchurch and Invercargill the classified
rates will be increased as follows:—
s. d.
To Christchurch by .. .. 0 11 per ton.
To Invercargill by .. .. 1 2 "
But such increase will not be made when goods are
consigned to private sidings at those stations; or, in the
case of Invercargill, when they are consigned to the
Jetty.
Insert—
Goods for Invercargill.
When goods of Classes A, B, C, D, and E are consigned
to Invercargill the classified rates will be increased by
1s. 2d. per ton, but such increase will not be made when
goods are consigned to private sidings at that station or
to the Invercargill Jetty.

RANGIORA AND CHRISTCHURCH.
Goods of Classes A, B, C, D, between Christchurch
and Rangiora, including collection and delivery within
the Borough of Rangiora and delivery at Christchurch,
will be charged 8s. per ton.
For goods of Classes A, B, C, D, from other stations
to Rangiora, the classified or local rates will be increased
by 1s. per ton.
KAIAPOI AND CHRISTCHURCH.
Goods of Classes A, B, C, and D conveyed between
Christchurch and Kaiapoi will be charged 6s. per ton,
including delivery at Christchurch.
Insert—
RANGIORA AND CHRISTCHURCH.
Goods of Classes A, B, C, and D, between Christ-
church and Rangiora, including collection and delivery
within the Borough of Rangiora, will be charged 8s. per
ton.
For goods of Classes A, B, C, and D, from other
stations to Rangiora, the classified or local rates will be
increased by 1s. per ton.
KAIAPOI AND CHRISTCHURCH.
Goods of Classes A, B, C, and D conveyed between
Christchurch and Kaiapoi will be charged 6s. per ton.

Goods of Classes A, B, C, D, conveyed between
Christchurch and Southbrook will be charged 8s. per
ton, including delivery at Christchurch.

Lyttelton to Christchurch, not to
private sidings, will be charged .. 5 2 per ton.

lading, or by weight or measurement, at the option of
the Department; other goods by weight or measure-
ment, as the Department directs.

Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of Roads through Matu-
kiore No. 2, Matukiore 6586, Wakura No. 2b, and Wai-
rere, Blocks XI, XII, XIV, and XV, Mangamuka Survey
District.
NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under
the authority of section 92 of “The Public Works Act,
1894,” that the roads described in the Schedule hereto were
duly taken and laid off, on the 31st December, 1905, through
the lands specified in the said Schedule, under the authority
of the Governor of the said colony, by Warrants dated the
8th July and 15th October, 1905.
