BOROUGH OF RANGIORA.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangiora Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,000, authorised to be raised by the Rangiora Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing, providing, establishing, and equipping gasworks for the manufacture and supply of gas to light the roads, streets, and public places of the Borough of Rangiora, and for the use of the Council, and for sale to consumers, and for the doing of all things necessary or incidental to such undertaking, the said Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅞d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Rangiora, comprising all that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, being the Town of Rangiora, bounded towards the north by a road and Sections 1301 and 1178, a road, Sections 124 and 1179, and a road; towards the east by Section 435, a road, Section 463, a road, Sections 793 and 1388, and a road; towards the south by Section 316, a road, and Sections 370 and 372; towards the west by a road and Sections 673, 682, 665, 569, and 474; again towards the west by a road, Section 505, a road, and Section 969 to the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

PROPOSED by Councillor Alford, seconded by Councillor Fowler,—

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Kiwitea County Council do hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £60, 10 per cent. of original loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and subsection (c) of section 8 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1903,” for the purpose of continuing the metalling of McBeth’s Road, the said Kiwitea County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of 2⁵⁄₅₆d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Forest Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 191, 192, 193, 194, 195, 196, 197, 198, 275, 276, 277, Block IV, Oroua Survey District; part 267, part 268, 272, 273, 274, Block I, Pohangina Survey District; 24, 25, 26, 48, 92A, 92C, 190, part 265, 266, Block XIII, Apiti; 3, 4, 20, 21, 24, 25, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 64, 66, 71, Kimbolton Township; 17, 18, 21, 22A, Subdivision Kimbolton Township, Block XIII, Apiti Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The cost of raising the loan, and the interest for the first year shall be paid out of the aforesaid sum of £60.

I, Samuel John Carman, Chairman of the Kiwitea County Council, do hereby certify that the above is a true copy of the special order adopted at a special meeting of the Council held the 19th day of January, 1907, and confirmed at a special meeting held the 16th day of March, 1907.

Special Order made by the Werekino Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Werekino Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WEREKINO ROAD BOARD.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Corporation of the inhabitants of the Werekino Road District by its Board the Werekino Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, part of a joint special loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the Werekino Road Board and the Parihaka Road Board respectively in equal shares of £300 each, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming, grading, draining, culverting, and metalling the Puniho Road from its junction with the Carrington Road to the forest reserve, the said Werekino Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Upper Puniho Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 1 and 2 of Block XI, Cape Survey District; and Subsections 8 and 9 of Section 4, Block X, Cape Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
