Special Order made by the Council of the County of Stratford.

The Treasury,
Wellington, 25th February, 1907.

THE following special order, made by the Stratford County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £650, authorised to be raised by the Stratford County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for bridging the Mangaehu River to give access to the Matemateaonga Block, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1⅜d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Matemateaonga-Mangaehu Bridge Special-rating District, comprising Sections 2, 4, and that part of Section 1 in the Stratford County, of Block V, Omona Survey District, and the western 3,725 acres of that part of Sub. 1, Matemateaonga Block, occupied by Mr. G. T. Bayly; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the rate of interest to be 5 per cent. per annum.

The resolution instituting the above special order was passed at a special meeting of the Stratford County Council held on the 16th day of January, 1907, and confirmed at a meeting of the Council held on the 20th day of February, 1907.

Special Order.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorised to be raised by the Stratford County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming and metalling a portion of the Waingongoro Road, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Upper Waingongoro Road No. 2 Special-rating District, comprising Sections 47, 48, 49, and 50 of Block IV, Kaupokonui Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the rate of interest to be 5 per cent. per annum.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £900, authorised to be raised by the Stratford County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling with burnt-papa rock portions of the Kohuratahi Road, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2⅝d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Kohuratahi Road Special-rating District, comprising Sections 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, 12, 66, and 68 of Block XIV, and Sections 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14 of Block XV, both blocks being in the Pouatu Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the rate of interest to be 5 per cent. per annum.

THE following special order, made by the Horowhenua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order for Loan of £1,200 under “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

Special Meeting, 12th January, 1907.

THAT, in pursuance of and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Public Works Act, 1905,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the several amendments thereof, the Horowhenua County Council resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest at 4 per cent. and other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorised to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” subclause (3) of section 118, and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” section 14, for the purpose of erecting a traffic-bridge, including approaches and protective works, over the Manawatu River at Shannon, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/30d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable properties within the said Horowhenua County; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. This special order to be confirmed at a subsequent meeting to be held on the 9th day of February, 1907.

I hereby certify to the above being a correct copy of the special order for £1,200 loan for erection of traffic-bridge over Manawatu River at Shannon.
