Road North, and Main Road South; also footpath-formation in Railway Street West, Kiwi Road, and between Kiwi and Hospital Roads through Hospital Reserve, the said Taihape Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Taihape; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 19th day of June and the 19th day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Taihape Borough Council held on the 15th day of January, 1907, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Taihape Borough Council held on the 19th day of February, 1907.

THE following special orders, made by the Remuera Road Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

REMUERA ROAD BOARD.

Special Orders.

(a.) THAT, in accordance with the provisions of subsection (4) of section 14 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and for the purpose of providing a proper system of drainage for that part of the Remuera Road District bounded on the east by Portland Road, on the south by Remuera Road, on the west by the western boundary-line of the properties fronting Westbourne Road, following such boundary-line to the north and connecting with Portland Road on the north boundary of Mrs. Airey’s property (being Lots 50-51 of 16, 18, 20, Section 16), a special loan of £650, at a rate of interest not exceeding 4½ per centum per annum, be raised by the Remuera Road Board on the security of a special rate of ⅝d. in the pound on the rateable value of all property in the above-described portion of the Remuera Road District. Such loan to be repayable within twenty years from the date it is borrowed; a sinking fund of at least ½ per centum per annum upon the amount of the said loan to be provided; and the commissions, charges, and expenses which the Board shall determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such loan, but not the first year’s interest thereon, to be paid out of the loan.

(b.) The Remuera Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅝d. in the pound on the rateable value of all property included in that part of the Remuera Road District bounded on the east by Portland Road, on the south by Remuera Road, on the west by the western boundary-line of the properties fronting Westbourne Road, following such boundary-line to the north and connecting with Portland Road on the north boundary of Mrs. Airey’s property (being Lots 50-51 of 16, 18, 20, Section 16). Such special rate to be made and levied for the payment of interest and other charges on a loan of £650, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of providing a proper system of drainage for the above-described portion of the Remuera Road District. Such special rate to be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and to be payable on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as security for a loan under the said Act.

I hereby certify that the foregoing special orders were duly passed at a special meeting of the Remuera Road Board held on the 5th day of December, 1906, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Board held on the 9th day of January, 1907.

Special Order made by the Parihaka Road Board.

PARIHAKA ROAD BOARD.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Parihaka Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, part of a joint special loan of £600, authorised to be raised by the Parihaka Road Board and the Werekino Road Board respectively in equal shares of £300 each, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming, grading, culverting, and metalling the Puniho Road from its junction with the Carrington Road to the forest reserve, the said Parihaka Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1⁵⁄₆d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Upper Puniho Road Special-rating District, comprising Subsections 10, 11, and 12 of Section 6, Block X, and Section 3 of Block XI, Cape Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The foregoing resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Parihaka Road Board on Wednesday, the 9th day of January, 1907, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Board held at Rahotu on Wednesday, the 13th day of February, 1907.

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Hawera Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorised to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing such Council’s half-share of the cost of reconstructing (a) the Main South Road from the Waihi Road to that point where the railway-line intersects; (b) the Glover Road from the Waihi Road to the corner of Lombard Street, Hawera Borough, the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Hawera; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Certified to be a true copy of a resolution adopted by the Hawera Borough Council at a special meeting held on Monday, the 21st day of January, 1907, and confirmed at a meeting of the Council held on Tuesday, the 19th day of February, 1907.
