MOA ROAD BOARD.

Notice is hereby given that the above Board intends, at a special meeting to be held on Saturday, the 15th December, 1906, to confirm the following special order:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Moa Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £250, authorised to be raised by the Moa Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and metalling the Bedford Road north of the Dudley Road West, the said Moa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Bedford Road North Special-rating District, comprising Sections 112, Block IV, Egmont Survey District; 1, 2, part 3, 113, 114, part 115, Block VIII, Egmont Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, at 5 per centum per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off. All expenses in connection with raising this loan to be paid out of loan-money.

Special Order made by the Council of the County of Oroua.

THE following special order, made by the Oroua County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

OROUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Oroua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £525, authorised to be raised by the Oroua County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying the Oroua County’s contribution of the cost of erecting a bridge over the Pohangina River at Raumai, in the Pohangina County, the said Oroua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/10d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Oroua County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. Adoption, 10th November, 1906; confirmation, 14th December, 1906.

Special Order made by the Hunua Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Hunua Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

HUNUA ROAD DISTRICT.

Special Order.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Hunua Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorised to be raised by the Hunua Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming and metalling certain roads, the said Hunua Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Hunua Road District, comprising the whole of the Hunua Road District as now existing, being part of the Opaheke Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one instalment on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and the rate of interest to be 4 per centum per annum.

PALMERSTON NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

I HEREBY give notice that the number of votes recorded upon the taking of the poll on the 14th day of December, 1906, for and against the proposal of the Borough of Palmerston North to borrow (by way of special loan within the meaning of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments) the sum of £20,000 for the purpose of completing and extending the present drainage scheme, was as follows: For the proposal, 370; against the proposal, 151. I hereby declare the proposal carried.

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL.

In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 12th day of December, 1906, a proposal was submitted by the Levin Borough Council to the ratepayers and freeholders of the Borough of Levin for raising a special loan of £375 for the purchase of part Section 67, Levin Suburban, containing 10 acres, for the purpose of a gravel reserve, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 81; against, 20; informal, 3.

And I declare the said proposal to be carried.
