LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL.
In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts amending the same respectively.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 12th day of December, 1906, a proposal was submitted by the Levin Borough Council to the ratepayers and freeholders of the Borough of Levin for raising a special loan of £375 for the purchase of part Section 26, Levin, Block I, Waiopéhu Survey District, containing 3½ acres, for the purposes of a gravel reserve and a rubbish depot, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For the proposal, 81; against the proposal, 23; informal, nil.
And I further declare the said proposal to be carried.

Notice of Result of Poll on Loan.
In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts amending the same respectively.
I HEREBY give notice that on the 20th day of December, 1906, a proposal was submitted by the Greytown Borough Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Greytown for raising a special loan of £2,000 for the erection and furnishing of a Municipal Town Hall, and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 90; against, 80; informals, 9.
And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

RESULT of poll, Mangere Road District, under a proposal to raise £1,500 by way of a special loan, in the matter of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” taken upon the 19th day of December, 1906:—
(a.) One mile and a quarter beginning opposite Mr. W. McRae’s property and continuing along the Mangere East Road to opposite Mr. Paul’s, sen., property, £425: For proposal, 56; against proposal, 78.
(b.) About half a mile from the little bridge over the Ararata Creek and continuing to opposite Mr. Crawford’s, £250: For proposal, 51; against proposal, 76.
(c.) About two miles and a quarter of the Ihumatao Road, from the paddock known as the Ninety-five, in the Ascot Estate, to the Ihumato Reserve, £825: For proposal, 56; against proposal, 74. Informal, 2.
The number of votes cast against proposals being in excess of those in favour thereof, I therefore declare the proposals lost.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Drainage Loan Proposal.
In the matter of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments; and in the matter of a proposal by the Whangarei Borough Council to raise a special loan of £6,000 for the construction and establishing of drainage-works within the borough, as per scheme of Mr. Metcalfe submitted to the Borough Council, dated the 4th May, 1906.
I HEREBY give notice that at the poll taken on the above proposal, held on the 18th day of December, 1906, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 137 votes, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 139 votes. There were 4 informal votes.
I therefore declare the proposal to be rejected.

NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, under the authority of section 93 of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” that the road described in the Schedule hereto was, on the 7th day of November, 1906, duly taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said colony, by Warrant dated 1st day of September, 1906.
