I, Reginald Edward Beckett, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 3rd day of November, 1906, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the said Rangitikei County Council held on the 19th day of December, 1906.

In testimony whereof the common seal of the Rangitikei County Council has been hereunto affixed.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £1,300, Wharerōa Road.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangitikei County Council doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,300, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of acquiring, fencing, and completing the formation of the Wharerōa Road from the Ongo Road to the Turakina River Road, a distance of about 2 miles 62 chains, and the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the money to be borrowed, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¾d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Wharerōa Special-rating District, comprising Sections 73, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 85, and 86, in Block III, and Sections 94, 97, 98, and 126, in Block IV, Wangaehu Survey District; Section 100, Block I, Ongo Survey District; Subdivisions 4 (573¼ acres), 4A (3½ acres), of Ohaumoko Block, and Sections 84, 87, 88, 89, 90, and 130 (Ngapuna), in Block XV, Mangawhero Survey District; Subdivision 1, Ohaumoko Block (1,776 acres), and Sections 91, 92, 95, and 96, in Block XVI, Mangawhero Survey District; Subdivision 2, Ohaumoko Block (724 acres and 820 acres), in Blocks XV and XVI, and part Ohaumoko Block (600 acres occupied by F. C. Hadfield), in Block XVI, Mangawhero Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest on such loan being at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum.

COUNTY OF COLLINGWOOD.

Gibbstown Water-supply Special Loan, £1,250.—Special Order.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Collingwood County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of not more than £1,250, authorised to be raised by the said Collingwood County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act and its amendments, for providing a water-supply for fire-preventive purposes for the Township of Gibbstown, the said Collingwood County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon all the rateable property contained in the Special-rating District of Gibbstown, being all that part of the said district bounded to the westward, northward, and eastward by Collingwood Harbour and foreshore of Golden Bay, and towards the southward by part of Reserve J, Block XV, Pakawau Survey District (the property of W. Marshall), Gibbs Road, and Elizabeth Street, such special district to be named the “Gibbstown Special District”: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of February and August in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until such loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above special order was adopted at a special meeting of the Collingwood County Council held on the 2nd day of July, 1906, and was confirmed at a meeting of the said Council held on the 6th day of August, 1906, and that public notice of the said special order was published in the Golden Bay Argus newspaper on the 12th, 19th, and 26th days of July, 1906, and the 2nd day of August, 1906.

THE following special orders, made by the Moa Road Board, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

MOA ROAD BOARD.

Notice is hereby given that the above Board intends, at a special meeting to be held on Saturday, the 15th December, 1906, to confirm the following special order:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and its amendments, the Moa Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges for a further loan of £80, being at the rate of 10 per centum upon the loan of £800 already granted (section 68, “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901”), and authorised to be raised by the Moa Road Board, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of forming and metalling the Mangaone Road from the Junction Road northwards, the said Moa Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mangaone Special-rating District, comprising Sections 20, 21, part 22, 23, 24, 25, part 26, Block II, Huiroa Survey District; and 12, Block XIV, Waitara Survey District: and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for the period of twenty-six years, at 5 per centum per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off. All expenses in connection with raising this loan to be paid out of loan-money.
