and confirmed at a subsequent special meeting held on Tues-

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £50, Makohine Village Settlement Road.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangitikei County Council
doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of
providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50,
authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council,
under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1901,” being 10 per centum additional on a loan of £500,
raised for the purpose of trimming and gravelling the Mako-
hine Village Settlement Road from end of gravel near
Mangaonoho to the Waterfall Road, a distance of about
120 chains, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound sterling
upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the
Makohine Special-rating District, as described on pages
2827–2828 of the New Zealand Gazette of 1905, and com-
prising part Subdivision 2 of Otairi No. 3 (118 acres), in
Block III, Ongo Survey District; Sections 28 and 29, and
1c, Poukiore No. 1, all in Block XV, Tiriraukawa Survey
District; Sections 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8, and 1d, Poukiore
No. 1; and Makohine Village Settlement Sections Nos. 1 to
6 (inclusive), 11, and 12, and the railway reserve (97 acres
3 roods 38 perches) adjoining the said Sections 11 and 12,
all in Block XVI, Tiriraukawa Survey District: and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on
the 1st day of May in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or
until the loan is fully paid off, the interest on such loan
being at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum.
I, Reginald Edward Beckett, Chairman of the Rangitikei
County Council, do hereby certify that the above special
order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the
Rangitikei County Council held on the 3rd day of November,
1906, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting of the
said Rangitikei County Council held on the 19th day of
December, 1906.
In testimony whereof the common seal of the Rangitikei
County Council has been hereunto affixed.

Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £500, Mangaone Valley Road.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Rangitikei County Council
doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of pro-
viding interest and other charges on a loan of £500,
authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council,
under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1901,” for the purpose of metalling the Mangaone Valley
Road from its junction with the Taihape–Utiku Main
Road to Section 2, Block II, Hautapu Survey District,
a distance of about one mile, and the cost of raising the
loan to be paid out of the moneys to be borrowed, the said
Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 4d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation
of all rateable property of the Mangaone Valley Special-
rating District, comprising Sections 1 and 2, Block II,
Hautapu Survey District; Sections part 67 (41 acres) and
70, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District; Awarua 4c
No. 15, part F1 (200 acres), and Awarua 4c No. 15,
part F2 (35 acres), in Blocks II, Hautapu Survey District, and
XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District: and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day
of May in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the
loan is fully paid off, the interest on such loan being at
the rate of 4 per cent. per annum.

doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of
providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100,
authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council,
under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1901,” for the purpose of metalling about 50 chains of the
Makirikiri Road, and the cost of raising the loan to be paid
out of the moneys to be borrowed, the said Rangitikei
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
1½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all
rateable property of the Makirikiri Special-rating District,
comprising Sections 45, parts 46 (250 acres owned by Messrs.
McIvor Bros. and 400 acres by Mrs. Knox), 47, 48, 49, 50,
51, and parts 52 (91 acres occupied by A. Illing and 228 acres
occupied by F. Stock), all in Block I, Rangitoto Survey Dis-
trict; and Section 44, in Block II, Koitiata Survey District:
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum
on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years,
