THE following special order, made by the Patea County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments, the Patea County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £400, authorised to be raised by the Patea County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of re-erecting the Waitotara Suspension Bridge, Upper Waitotara, the said Patea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Makakaho Special-rating District. The boundaries of the special-rating district are as follows: Starting at the junction of the Makakaho Stream with the Waitotara River; thence in a southerly direction down the Waitotara River to the south-west corner of Section 7, Mangapapa No. 1c Block; thence in an easterly direction to the south-easterly corner of Mangapapa No. 1c Block; thence in a northerly direction to the south boundary of Section 14, Maungaporau Block; thence in a westerly direction to the south-western corner of said Section 14; thence in a north-easterly direction along the western boundaries of Sections 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19, Maungaporau Block, to the south boundary of the Whakaihuwaka Block; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundary of the Whakaihuwaka Block to the southern corner of the Rawhitiroa Block; thence in a north-westerly direction along the northern boundaries of Sections 8 and 7, Mangapapa No. 2, to the eastern corner of Section 6, Mangapapa No. 2; thence in a south-westerly direction to the western corner of Section 7, Mangapapa No. 2; thence in a south-easterly direction along the northern boundaries of Sections 4, 3, 2, to the north-west corner of Section 1A; thence in a south-westerly direction along the western boundary of Section 1A to the Waitotara River; thence following the Waitotara River in a south-easterly direction to the starting-point at the mouth of the
