ASHBURTON.

Ashburton District comprises the Ashburton Riding of Ashburton County and the Upper Ashburton Riding less those portions included in the Selwyn District, together with the Town District of Hampstead and that portion of the Wakanui Riding lying west of Wakanui Road, and also the eastern portions of the Temuka and Raukapuka Ridings bounded towards the north-east by Rangitata River, towards the south-east by the sea, towards the west by the Orari River from the sea to Section No. 8825 ; thence by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 8825, 7211, 3606, 7181, and 8847 to the railway-line ; thence by the railway-line to the southern boundary of the Raukapuka Riding ; thence by the said southern boundary to the Hae Hae te Moana River ; thence by the Hae Hae te Moana River to Macdonald’s Road, by Macdonald’s Road to Turton’s Road, by Turton’s Road to Kempster’s Road, by Kempster’s Road to Pithie’s Road ; thence by Pithie’s Road to the northern boundary of the Raukapuka Riding, and thence by the said northern boundary to the Rangitata River ; and also the Boroughs of Ashburton and Geraldine.

TIMARU.

Timaru District comprises the Ridings of Seadown, Waimataiti, Gleniti, and Otipua of Levels County, together with the eastern part of Claremont Riding lying eastward of Brockley Road, and also the Borough of Timaru.

TEMUKA.

Temuka District comprises the Mackenzie County, that portion of Geraldine County not included in the Selwyn District, and that part of Levels County not included in Timaru District, together with the Upper Pareora, Lower Pareora, Otaia, and Makikihi Ridings of Waimate County, and also the northern portion of the North Waihao Riding lying northward of the northern boundary of Rural Section No. 29778, and the road running westward from the north-western corner of that section to the Hakataramea River, and also the northern portion of Hakataramea Riding lying north of a line along the stream intersecting Section No. 29450 from the Hakataramea River to the Main Road ; thence along the Main Road to the northern boundary of Section No. 29359 ; thence by the northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 29359, 29356, and 33019, by the southern boundary of Section No. 33199 and a right line to Trig. Station N ; thence westward by the main watershed to the Waitaki River at the confluence of that river with the Ahuriri River ; also including the Borough of Temuka.

OAMARU.

Oamaru District comprises the Dunback, Blue Mountain, Meadowbank, and Bushy Ridings of Waihemo County, together with the Moeraki, Otepopo, and Kakanui Ridings of Waitaki County, the south-eastern portion of Waireka Riding bounded by the western boundaries of Western Park and the Ardgowan Settlement and part of the northern boundary of the said Ardgowan Settlement, and also the southern portion of Papakaio Riding bounded on the north by the northern boundary of Blocks I and II, Oamaru Survey District, to London Creek, by London Creek to Section 125, and thence by Sections 125, 126, to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section and Section 156 to the Main Road, by the Main Road to the road north of Section 141, and thence by that road running easterly to the sea. The Borough of Palmerston is included in this district.

WAITAKI.

Waitaki District comprises that portion of Waimate County not included in the Temuka District, together with the Ahuriri, Otekaike, Awamoko, and Incholme Ridings of Waitaki County, and also those portions of Waiareka and Papakaio Ridings not included in the Oamaru District. The Borough of Waimate is also included in this district.

MOUNT IDA.

Mount Ida District comprises the Boroughs of Naseby, Roxburgh, and Alexandra, the whole of the Maniototo County

less that part of the Hyde Riding south of the Cap Burn, together with the Green Valley and Macrae’s Ridings of Waihemo County, the Matakanoi, Manuherikia, Dunstan, and Earnscleugh Ridings of Vincent County, the Teviot, Beaumont, and James Ridings of Tuapeka County, the portion of Tapanui Riding of Tuapeka County lying north of the road running south-easterly from the southern boundary of the Township of Kelso and thence easterly to the boundary of the said Tapanui Riding, and also the northern portion of Glenkenich Riding of Clutha County lying north of Blocks I and II, Glenkenich Survey District, and along the road running north-easterly from Block II to the Pomahaka River ; also including the Township of Kelso, and also that part of Gabriel’s Riding of Tuapeka County lying north of Gardener’s Track.

CHALMERS.

Chalmers District comprises the whole of the Waikouaiti and Peninsula Counties, together with the Goodwood Riding of Waihemo County, the Boroughs of Hawksbury, Port Chalmers, and West Harbour, and the northern portion of the Borough of North-east Valley lying north-east of the Pine Hill Road intersecting Sections Nos. 58, 57, 55, and 53 to Watts Road, by the said Watts Road to the Main North Road, and by the Main North Road to the south-western corner of the Township of Dalkeith, thence by the south-western boundary of the said township and Sections Nos. 46 and 2 of 29 to the boundary of the Borough of West Harbour.

DUNEDIN NORTH.

This district is bounded towards the north and towards the south-east generally by the northern and south-eastern boundaries of the Borough of Maori Hill from Swampy Hill to the road fronting Section No. 66, Block XI, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District ; thence towards the north-west by the road fronting Sections Nos. 66, 64, 62, and 60 ; thence towards the north-east generally by the Chalmers District hereinbefore described and the Borough of West Harbour to Dunedin Harbour ; thence towards the south generally by Dunedin Harbour to a point in line with Frederick Street ; thence by a line to and along Frederick Street to Leith Street ; thence by Leith Street to Albany Street, along Albany Street to Queen Street ; thence along Queen Street to Pitt Street, along Pitt Street and Royal Terrace to the right-of-way between Sections Nos. 46 and 47 on the north side of Royal Terrace ; thence along that right-of-way and by a right line to the easternmost corner of the Borough of Roslyn ; thence by the Borough of Roslyn, and the western boundary of the Borough of Maori Hill to Swampy Hill, the place of commencement.

DUNEDIN WEST.

Dunedin West District comprises the Borough of Roslyn and that part of the City of Dunedin bounded by a line from the easternmost corner of the Borough of Roslyn to the right-of-way between Sections No. 46 and 47, situated north of Royal Terrace ; thence along that right-of-way to Royal Terrace, along Royal Terrace, to Pitt Street, and along Pitt Street, Queen Street, Albany Street, and Leith Street to Frederick Street ; thence along Frederick Street and its continuation to Dunedin Harbour ; thence by Dunedin Harbour to a point in line with Stuart Street ; thence by a line to and along Stuart Street across the Octagon to Smith Street, along Smith Street, Rattray Street, and the Roslyn Cable Tramway to the Borough of Roslyn.

DUNEDIN CENTRAL.

Dunedin Central District comprises the Borough of Mornington, together with that part of the City of Dunedin bounded towards the north by the Roslyn Cable Tramway along Rattray Street to Smith Street, by Smith Street to Stuart Street ; thence by Stuart Street across the Octagon and a line in continuation of Stuart Street across the Railway Reserve and continued to Dunedin Harbour ; thence towards the east by Dunedin Harbour ; towards the south by the Caversham Ward of the City of Dunedin ; and towards the west by the Borough of Mornington, and also that part of the Caversham Ward of the City of Dunedin lying east of Goodall Street and north of the railway-line and the Main South Road.

DUNEDIN SOUTH.

Dunedin South District comprises the Borough of St. Kilda, together with the Caversham and South Dunedin Wards of the City of Dunedin less that portion of the Caversham Ward lying east of Goodall Street and north of the railway-line and the Main South Road, which is included in the Dunedin Central District.

TAIERI.

Taieri District comprises the whole of the Taieri County, together with that portion of Hyde Riding of Maniototo
