Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Deputy Mayor
of the Borough of Roslyn, is published in accordance
with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1901.”

BOROUGH OF ROSLYN.

In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,”
and of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts
amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 19th day of November,
1906, a proposal was submitted by the Roslyn Borough
Council to the ratepayers of the Borough of Roslyn for
raising a special loan of £15,000 for the purpose of con-
structing waterworks in that part of the Borough of
Roslyn described in the Schedule hereto; and the number
of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal
was as follows: For the proposal, 439 votes; against the
proposal, 154 votes.

And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

  1. The whole of Kilgour Ward.
  2. The whole of Waverley Ward.
  3. All that part of Linden Ward bounded towards the
    east by High Street; towards the south by City Road and
    the North Taieri Road; towards the west by Stuart Street;
    again towards the south by Broughton Street; again towards
    the west by Hill Street; towards the north by Anderson Road;
    again towards the west by Vale Street, and by a straight
    line running from Vale Street to Wakari Road; and again
    towards the north by Wakari Road to its junction with
    High Street.
  4. All that part of Sunnyside Ward bounded towards the
    north by City Road and the North Taieri Road; towards
    the west by Main Street, Kirkland Hill, and a road leading
    from Main Street to King Street, Hawthorndale; towards
    the south by King Street; towards the west by the Kaikorai
    Valley Road to James Street; thence again towards the
    south by James Street; thence towards the west by a

    again towards the west by Gamma Street; again towards

Borough of Maori Hill, is published in accordance with
the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

BOROUGH OF MAORI HILL.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a poll taken on the 20th day
of November instant on the proposal of the Council of the
said borough—to raise a special loan of £500, to be applied
in the formation and improvement of the District Road,
lying between part of Section 8, Block II, Upper Kaikorai
District; Allotments 41 to 47 inclusive, and 86 to 89 in-
clusive, Balmacewen Estate; and part of Sections 1, 2, 3,
and 4, Block II, Upper Kaikorai District; and Allotments
18 to 24 inclusive, Township of Cannington; Sections 4, 5, 6,
and 7, Block VIII, Upper Kaikorai District; and Block XI,
Dunedin and East Taieri District, which road is shown by a

red colour, and which lands are shown by a green colour, on
a plan described as plan of Special-loan District, Borough of
Maori Hill, prepared by Nathaniel Paterson, licensed sur-
veyor, Dunedin, and lodged at the Council Chambers, Maori
Hill; the security for the said loan to be the revenue of the
said borough, and the amount to be produced by an annually
recurring special rate of 1½d. in the pound on the unimproved
value of the said lands (coloured green) on the said plan; the
said loan to be repayable at the expiration of not more than
forty-one years from the date of the raising of the said loan,
and to be raised by the issue of debentures under “The Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and it being proposed to pay out
of the loan-moneys the cost of raising the loan and the in-
terest for the first year—the following votes were recorded:
For the proposal, 19 votes; against the proposal, 4 votes;
majority for the proposal, 15 votes.

There being a majority of votes polled in favour of the
proposal, I hereby declare the proposal to be carried.

hunga Drainage Board, is published in accordance

HUNGAHUNGA DRAINAGE BOARD.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a poll of the ratepayers of
the Hungahunga Drainage District, taken on Monday,
the 19th day of November, 1906, upon a proposal to borrow
from the Colonial Treasurer, under Part II of “The Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for forty-one years, at 4 per cent.
per annum, a special loan of £3,000 for the construction of
drainage-works for the drainage of the Hungahunga Drain-
age District, there was recorded—for the proposal, 58 votes;
and against the same, 8 votes.

And I declare the proposal to be carried.
