A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section thirteen of “The Land Act, 1892,” and its amendments, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, with the consent of the owners of the lands hereinafter mentioned, and with the consent of the Clutha County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said lands are situated, do by this notice hereby proclaim as taken for a road the lands in Block I, Pomahaka Survey District hereinafter described, that is to say,—

All in the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Chief Engineer of Roads, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Lee, Baron Plunket, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six.

New County of Eltham divided into Ridings, &c.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Eltham County Act, 1906,” I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby divide the new County of Eltham, as constituted by the said Acts, into five ridings, to be called the Kaponga Riding, the Mangatoki Riding, the South Riding, the Eltham Riding, and the Omona Riding, and declare that the boundaries thereof shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto.
And I do hereby declare that three members shall be elected for the said Mangatoki Riding, two members for each of the said Kaponga and Eltham Ridings, and one member for each of the said South and Omona Ridings. And I do further declare that Wednesday, the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and six, shall be the day upon which the election of the first Council of the said County of Eltham shall take place, and that Saturday, the twenty-second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and six, at noon, shall be the time, and the Borough Chambers at Eltham shall be the place, at which the first meeting of the said Council shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
KAPONGA RIDING.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at the summit of Mount Egmont, and proceeding thence southerly along a straight line to a point in the middle of the north end of the Auroa Road at its junction with the forest-reserve boundary; thence southerly along the middle of the said road to its junction with the southern boundary of Block IX, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence easterly along the southern boundary of Blocks X and XI, Kaupokonui Survey District, to a point in the middle of the Palmer Road and in a direct line with the said southern boundaries of Blocks X and XI, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence northerly along the middle of the Palmer Road to a point in the middle of the said road and in a direct line with the northern boundary of Block XI, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence westerly by the northern boundary of said Block XI, and southerly by the western boundary of that block to the north-eastern corner of Block X, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence westerly along the northern boundary of said Block X to the south-eastern corner of Section 1, Block VI, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Section 1 to the Opunake Road; thence westerly along the south side of said Opunake Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 16, Block VI, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence northerly across the Opunake Road and along the eastern boundaries of Sections 16, 13, and 11, Block VI, Kaupokonui Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; and thence by a right line to the summit of Mount Egmont, at the place of commencement.
MANGATOKI RIDING.
All that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Palmer Road in line with the northern boundary of Section 29, Block VIII, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence southerly by the middle of the Palmer Road to a point in the middle of the Skeet Road at its junction with the Palmer Road; thence easterly along the middle of the Skeet Road to a point in the middle of the Waingongoro River where it is crossed by the Skeet Road; thence northerly by the middle of the Waingongoro River to a point in the middle of the Waingongoro River at its junction with the middle of the Finnerty Road; thence westerly by the middle of the Finnerty Road to the middle of the Hastings Road; thence south-easterly by the middle of the Hastings Road to a point opposite the northern boundary of Section 32, Block VIII, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence westerly to and along the said boundary to the western boundary of Section 32 aforesaid; thence southerly along the said western boundary to the northern boundary of Section 31, Block VIII, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence westerly by the said northern boundary and its continuation in a direct line to and across the Duthie Road; thence along the said road in a north-westerly direction to the northern boundary of Section 29, Block VIII, and along the northern boundary of Section 29, Block VIII, Kaupokonui Survey District; and thence by a continuation of that line to the point of commencement.
SOUTH RIDING.
All that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Waingongoro River at its junction with the middle of the Mangawhero Stream; thence southerly generally by the middle of the Waingongoro River to a point opposite to the middle of the Onewhaia Road; thence south-easterly by the middle of that road, and by part of the western boundary and by the south-western boundary of Section 69, Block I, Hawera Survey District, and its continuation in a direct line to the middle of the Mountain Road; thence northerly by the middle of the Mountain Road to a point opposite the southern boundary of Section 12, Block II, Hawera Survey District; thence easterly by the southern boundary of the said Section 12 to the western boundary of Section 20, Block II, Hawera Survey District; thence southerly by the western boundary and easterly by the southern boundary of said Section 20, and by the continuation of the said southern boundary to the middle of the Fraser Road; thence north-easterly by the middle of the Fraser Road to the middle or the Tiromoana Road; thence easterly and northerly by the middle of the Tiromoana Road to a point in the middle of the Mangimangi Stream where it is crossed by the Tiromoana Road; thence northerly by the middle of the Mangimangi Stream to a point in the middle of that stream where it is crossed by the Mangawhero Road; thence westerly by the middle of the Mangawhero Road to a point in the middle of the Mountain Road at its junction with the Mangawhero Road; thence northerly along the middle of the Mountain Road to a point in the middle of the Mangawhero Stream where it is
