PRIVATE ADVERTISEMENTS.

In the matter of “The Public Works Act, 1905.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Hamilton Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1905,” to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public street from Collingwood Street to Hood Street, in the Borough of Hamilton, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is further given that the plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Hamilton Borough Council at Hamilton, and is there open for inspection. And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Hamilton Borough Council, at the Council Chambers, Hamilton.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.

UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF “THE WATER-SUPPLY ACT AMENDMENT ACT, 1898.”

THE Featherston County Council has, by special order made on the 21st day of September, 1906, and confirmed on the 2nd day of November, 1906, increased the Management Committee of the Dry River Water-race from a Committee of five members to a Committee of seven members, and appointed the following ratepayers as such Committee: Messrs. Thomas Kennedy, Hugh Mackay, Thomas Greenaway, Murdoch McLeod, Farquar McLeod, Joseph Hancox, and Edward George Harris, of Martinborough, Farmers.

Dated at Martinborough, this 8th day of November, 1906.

EASTBOURNE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Eastbourne proposes, under the provisions of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and “The Public Works Act, 1905,” to execute a public work—namely, the making of a recreation-ground—and for the purpose of such public work the land specified in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.

Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required is deposited in my public office, situate in Brown’s Buildings, Johnston Street, Wellington, and is open for inspection without fee during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected are called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the said Council addressed to me at the office aforesaid.

In the matter of the Produce Export Company (Limited).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened, and held in the registered office of the company, No. 1 Lower High Street, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the 31st day of October, 1906, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed :—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.”

And at the same meeting FRANCIS TYSON, of No. 1 Lower High Street, Dunedin aforesaid, Accountant, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between W. H. REDWOOD and J. TOMLINSON, as Brewers, &c., in the Town of Feilding, has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The business will be carried on in future by W. H. Redwood, who will discharge all debts and to whom all accounts are payable.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership formerly existing under the style or firm of “Anglo-N.Z. Jewellery Co.” at Victoria Arcade, Queen Street, Auckland, and elsewhere, has been dissolved by mutual consent, the said business being now carried on by E. B. Walker and C. H. Abdallah, who will receive all moneys due to and will pay all debts owing by the said partnership firm.

I, STRATFORD SHELDON, Bachelor of Medicine, Master of Surgery, and Bachelor of Science of Sydney University, 1896, and now residing at Reefton, give notice that on the 9th day of December, 1906, I intend to apply to have my name placed on the Medical Register of New Zealand, and that I have deposited evidence of my qualification at the office of the Registrar at Hokitika.
