MINING NOTICE.
UNDER "THE MINING ACT, 1905."
APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.
To the Warden of the Otago Mining District, at St. Bathan's.
PURSUANT to "The Mining Act, 1905," the undersigned, Peter Jenkins and Hugh Hughes, both of Beck's, Farmers, hereby apply for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Date and numbers of miners' rights: 24th October, 1906; Nos. 56016 and 56015.
Address for service: Care of E. C. Cutten, Solicitor, Naseby.
Dated at Naseby, this 10th day of November, 1906.
SCHEDULE.
Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing in Section 7, Block IV, Blackstone District, at a point in Woolshed Creek where Water-race No. 2716 lifts, and flowing in same race with water of Race No. 2176 as far as Section 2, Block II, Blackstone District, and thence through Sections 2, 3, and 4, and terminating in Section 21, Block II, Blackstone District; pegs marked "J.H.," and trenches cut.
Length and intended course of race: Three-quarters of a mile; north to south.
Points of intake: Commencing-point.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Three months; Β£25.
Mean depth and breadth: 9 in. by 2 ft.
Number of heads to be diverted: One head.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Irrigation, power, and watering stock.
Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.
