Tutuotekaha No. 3 Block; following the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of that block to the Kaumauoa No. 1 Block; following the eastern boundary of that block and the southern and western boundaries of the Kaumauoa No. 2 Block to the Kaumauoa No. 3 Block; following the southern and western boundaries of that block to the Kaumauoa Stream; following up that stream to Section 31A, Block X, Opoiti Survey District; following the western and northern boundaries of that section (31A) to the Tutuotekaha No. 4 Block; following the western boundary of that block to the Mangapoiki River; following down that river to the Opoiti Block; following the eastern boundary of that block and the northern boundaries of Mangapoiki No. 2C, 2E, and 2F Blocks to the county-boundary; and following the county-boundary to the starting-point: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Wairoa was hereto affixed, this 23rd day of October, 1906, in the presence of—

THE following special order, made by the Wairoa County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WAIROA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Wairoa County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorised to be raised by the Wairoa County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for erecting a bridge over the Nuhaka River on the Nuhaka–Gisborne Road, the said Wairoa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/50d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Wairoa; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Special Order made by the Sefton-Ashley Drainage Board.

THE following special order, made by the Sefton-Ashley Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

SEFTON-ASHLEY DRAINAGE BOARD.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a special meeting of the Sefton-Ashley Drainage Board held for the purpose in the Board’s office, Sefton, on the 4th day of July, 1906, at 7.30 p.m., the following resolution was passed by way of special order:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Sefton-Ashley Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorised to be raised by the Sefton-Ashley Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for protective works (1) along the north bank of the Ashley River, (2) at the lower end of Stony Creek, and (3) at the lower end of Fox’s Creek, the said Sefton-Ashley Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Sefton-Ashley Drainage District comprised within the area bounded on the south by the River Ashley, on the west by the railway-line, on the north by the Sefton-Ashley Road, and on the east by Sections Nos. 2726, 5246, a road, thence by the North Road and Saltwater Creek as far as the point where it joins the Ashley River at its mouth near the sea; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of May in every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Onslow, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

ONSLow BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Notice of Result of Poll on Loan, £28,500.

In the matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,” and of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 24th day of October, 1906, a proposal was submitted by the Onslow Borough Council to the ratepayers of the South Ward for raising a special loan of £28,500 for an electric tramway between the City of Wellington and Wadestown, road-widening, &c., and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal were as follows: For, 113; against, 76.

And I declare the said proposal to be carried.

WAIPUKURAU TOWN BOARD.

I, THE undersigned, hereby give notice that at the poll held, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and “The Local Elections Act, 1904,” and any amendments to either of them, on Thursday, the 25th day of October, 1906, on the proposal to raise a special loan of £2,200 for the purpose of establishing and constructing a system of lighting the Waipukurau Town District, the following number of votes were polled: For the proposal, 69; against the proposal, nil.

I hereby declare the proposal carried.
