THE following special order, made by the Clifton County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

COPY OF SPECIAL ORDER MADE BY THE CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
Mataro Road Loan, £500.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Clifton County Council doth hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorised to be raised by the Clifton County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” for the purpose of forming the Mataro Road, the said Clifton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprised within the Mataro Road Special-rating District—namely, Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 44, Block XI, Waitara Survey District; Sections 9, 10, Block XII, Waitara Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable in one sum on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest on such loan being at the rate of 4 per cent. per annum.
I, Henry Edward Vaughan, Clerk to the Clifton County Council, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a special order made by the Clifton County Council on the 1st day of June, 1906, and confirmed on the 6th day of July, 1906.

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
PROPOSED by Councillor Guthrie, seconded by Councillor Hockly,—
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in them in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorised to be raised by the Kiwitea County Council, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and subsection (c) of section 8 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1903,” for the purpose of forming, bridging, widening, and metalling the Lagoon Road from its junction with the Kelpie Road to its junction with the Titirangi Road as far as the money will go, the said Kiwitea County Council do hereby make and levy a special rate of 2½d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable property of the Papanui Special-rating District, comprising Sections 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, Block XII, Hautapu Survey District; 11, Block XV, Hautapu Survey District; 2, Block XVI, Hautapu Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The cost of raising the loan and the interest for the first year shall be paid out of the aforesaid sum of £1,200.
I, Hilton Fowler, Chairman of the Kiwitea County Council, do hereby certify that the above is a true copy of the special order adopted at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 21st day of July, 1906, and confirmed at a special meeting held on the 18th day of August, 1906.
