adjoining the Mangatoki Riding of the Hawera County,
supplementary loan £850; (2) the construction of a
portion of the Ahipaipa Road, and of certain bridges in and
adjoining the Okaiawa Riding of the said county, loan
£1,050: And whereas the public notification of such resolu-
tion appeared in the Hawera and Normanby Star news-
paper of the ninth, fourteenth, twentieth, and twenty-
seventh June, one thousand nine hundred and six, but
did not appear once in each of the four weeks immediately
preceding the day on which the said resolution was con-
firmed, as required by section eleven of “The Counties Act
Amendment Act, 1903”: And whereas it appears that the
ratepayers have not been misled, and it is expedient to
validate such irregularity:

Now, therefore. His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers conferred by section ten of “The Local Bodies’
Loans Amendment Act, 1902,” and acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby validate the public notification of the
said special orders so made as aforesaid, and doth hereby
order and declare that the said special orders making the
said special rates shall not be called in question by reason
only of the irregularity aforesaid.

Vesting a Reserve in the Waimarino County Council.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
second day of October, 1906.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been permanently reserved for a site for
Council offices of the Waimarino County Council:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expe-
dient to vest the said reserve in the Waimarino County
Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the
fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth
hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date
hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall
become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabit-
ants of the Waimarino County, in trust, for a site for
Council offices of the Waimarino County Council.


SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section
No. 106, Block X, Raetihi Township. Bounded towards
the north-east by Ohakune Road; towards the south-east
by Section No. 107, Block X, Raetihi Township; towards
the south-west by Section No. 109 of the said Block X; and
towards the north-west by Section No. 105 of the said
Block X: as the same is delineated on the plan marked
S.G. 37787/34, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Landing-place appointed.

PLUNKET, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested by
“The Customs Laws Consolidation Act, 1882,” I,
William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby appoint that, from and after the
date hereof, the wharf known as

THE TARANAKI STREET WHARF

shall be deemed and taken to be a legal landing-place at the
Port of Wellington for the lading and unlading of goods,
under “The Customs Laws Consolidation Act, 1882.”

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this eighteenth day of October, one thousand nine
hundred and six.

Governor’s Order No. 178.]

Lands temporarily reserved in the Wellington Land District.

PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the two-hundred-and-thirty-fifth sec-
tion of “The Land Act, 1892,” it is enacted that the
Governor may from time to time, either by general or par-
ticular description, and whether the same has been sur-
veyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding
that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any
Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of
the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale
the lands in the Wellington Land District described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said
Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions
of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.


SCHEDULE.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, being Section
No. 19, Block IX, Arawaru Survey District. Bounded to-
wards the north by Section No. 16, Block IX, Arawaru
Survey District; towards the east by a public road 100 links
wide, and by Section No. 14 of the said Block IX; and
towards the west by Section No. 6 of Block IX aforesaid:
as the same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 55906/1c,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For gravel purposes.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section No. 20,
Block IX, Arawaru Survey District. Bounded towards the
north, north-west, and north-east generally by a public road
100 links wide; and towards the south by Section No. 11,
Block IX, Arawaru Survey District: as the same is deli-
eated on the plan marked S.G. 55906/1d, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and
thereon coloured red. For gravel purposes.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, being Section No. 9,
Block X, Arawaru Survey District. Bounded towards the
north, east, and south-east by the Tokomaru River; and
towards the west by Section No. 7 of the said Block X, Ara-
waru Survey District: as the same is delineated on the plan
marked S.G. 55906/1a, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
For gravel purposes.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods 8 perches, more or less,
being Section No. 10, Block X, Arawaru Survey District.
Bounded towards the east and south-east by a public road
100 links wide, and by Section No. 318, Block VIII, Arawaru
Survey District; and towards the west and north-west by
Section No. 1 and Section No. 319, Block VI: exclusive of
two public roads, each 100 links wide, reserved through the
said Section No. 10: as the same is delineated on the plan
marked S.G. 55906/1b, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
For gravel purposes.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 250 acres 2 roods, more or less, being
Section No. 374, Block III, Gorge Survey District. Bounded
towards the north-east generally by a road reserve; towards
the south-east by a forest reserve; towards the south-west
by Sections Nos. 371, 372, and 373 of the said Block III;
and towards the north-west and south-west by a ferry re-
serve; and again towards the north-west by Section No. 50 of
the said Block III: as the same is delineated on the plan
marked S.G. 55917, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For
the growth and preservation of timber.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 3 perches, more or less,
being Section No. 96, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey Dis-
trict, and being a closed road adjoining Section No. 6,
Block XVII, Taihape Township, Sections Nos. 41, 38, 40, 39,
Suburbs of Taihape Township, as proclaimed in New Zea-
land Gazette No. 41, of 31st May, 1906 (page 1379); as the
same is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 55971, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and
thereon coloured green. For a public recreation-ground.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being
Section No. 97, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District, and
being a closed road adjoining Sections Nos. 42 and 43, Suburbs
of Taihape Township, as proclaimed in New Zealand Gazette
No. 41, of 31st May, 1906 (page 1379); as the same is de-
lineated on the plan marked S.G. 55971, deposited in the
