West Taieri Drainage Board hereby resolve as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, authorised to be raised by the West Taieri Drainage Board, under the above mentioned Act, for the purpose of drainage-works, to complete which the purchase of a pump is requisite, the said West Taieri Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value of rateable property in the West Taieri Drainage District, comprising Sections 50 to 60, part 61, part 62, part 1 of 63, part 2 of 63, part 65, 66, 67, 68, 1 of 69, 2 of 69, 70, 71, 72, and part 7, Block III, Maungatua Survey District; part 10, part 11, part 12, Block II, West Taieri Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest is 4 per cent. per annum. First half-year’s interest rate to be payable on the 1st day of January, 1907, and a meeting to be held at the house of Mr. Joseph McNeill, at 1 p.m., on the 7th July, 1906, to confirm the aforesaid special order, to be advertised 12th, 19th, 26th June, and 3rd July, 1906.
Seconded by Mr. Dow, and carried unanimously.

THE following special orders, made by the Masterton County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

MASTERTON COUNTY.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £900, authorised to be raised by the Masterton County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for constructing a bridge over the Taueru River near Glendonald, on the Te Oreore—Bideford Road, the said Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¹⁹⁄₁₃d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Glendonald Bridge Loan Special-rating District, comprising all that area contained within the following boundaries—that is to say, commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 22, Block I, Mangapakeha Survey District, and proceeding in a southerly direction bounded by Sections 23, 27, and part of 131, in the said block, to the easternmost corner of Section 21, Block IV, Kopuaranga Survey District; thence by a straight line to the northernmost corner of Section 138, Block V, by the north boundary of the last-mentioned section, by Sections 215, 216, 217, 218, 211, Block V, Mangapakeha, by a straight line drawn from the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section through the Ngatahuna Block to the confluence of the Taueru and Wainuiomamu Streams; thence proceeding in a south-westerly direction by the said Taueru River to its intersection with the southern boundary of Section 206, Block XII, Kopuaranga; thence by Sections 204, 203, 31, Block XII, by Sections 30, 144, 211, 212, 139, 138, Block VIII, and by Sections 102, 101, 18, 17, 16, Block IV, Kopuaranga, to the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Passed at a special meeting of the Council, this 12th day July, 1906; confirmed this 9th day of August, 1906.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £150, authorised to be raised by the Masterton County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling Pori Road, the said Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ³⁷⁄₄₀₀d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Pori Road Metalling Loan Special rating District, comprising that portion of Section 13, Block I, that portion of Section 6, Block II, lying within the County of Masterton; Sections 7 and 8, Block II; Sections 1, 2, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 21, Block V; Sections 1, 2, and 5, Block VI; all in the Puketoi Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £350, authorised to be raised by the Masterton County Council, under the above-named Act, for formation, metalling, &c., on the Alfredton-Tinui and Spring Vale Roads, the said Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ³⁄₁₀d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Alfredton to Tinui and Spring Vale Roads Loan Special-rating District, comprising Sections 37, 38, 167, 168, 169, 177, 178, 179, 180, Block XIII, Sections 175, 176, 190, 130, Block XIV; 130, 133, Block X; 128, Block XI, Puketoi Survey District; Sections 143 and 181, Block II, Mangapakeha Survey District; and all that portion of Education Reserve No. 151, in Blocks XIV, Puketoi, and II, Mangapakeha Survey Districts, lying between the Alfredton-Tinui Road and a straight line drawn from a point where the westernmost corner of Section 824, Block III, Mangapakeha Survey District, intersects the Taueru River to a point on the south boundary of Section 130, Block XIV, Puketoi, distant 4000 links from its south-eastern corner: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Passed at a special meeting of the Council, this 12th day July, 1906; confirmed this 9th day of August, 1906.
