No. 3 Loan District, comprising part Section 8, Sub-division 1, Block I, Mangatu, 1,792 acres; Section 7, Sub-division 1, Block I, Mangatu; Lot 1 of Mangatu 1; Lots 4 and 5 of Subdivision 1, Mangatu 1; Lots 2 and 3 of Mangatu No. 1a; Section 6, Mangatu 1; part Section 8, Subdivision 1, Block I, Mangatu, 2,837 acres: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be 4 per cent.

THE following special order, made by the Waimate Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WAIMATE ROAD BOARD.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Waimate Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £170, authorised to be raised by the Waimate Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling a portion of the Mangawhero Road within the Central Subdivision of the Waimate Road District, the said Waimate Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mangawhero Road Special-rating District, comprising the east part of Section 6, the east part of Section 7, the west part of Section 7, the east part of Section 8, the west part of Section 19, the west part of Section 18, and Section 20, all in Block XIV, Kaupokonui Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The interest to be paid is to be at the rate of 4 per centum per annum.
I, Thomas A. Bridge, Chairman of the Waimate Road Board, certify that the above resolution was adopted at a special meeting of the Waimate Road Board held on the 12th day of December, 1905, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the said Board held on the 10th day of January, 1906.

THE following special order, made by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

UPPER WANGAEHU ROAD BOARD.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” the Upper Wangaehu Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorised to be raised by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, such loan being for two successive years expenditure, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming the following roads in and giving access to the Rangiwaee Block, and to erect the necessary bridges thereon—viz., (1) the Turakina Valley Road from the Marae Stream north to the county-boundary, £1,100; (2) the Wangaehu Valley Road from the county-boundary south to Mr. Crowley’s house, £700; (3) the Koukopo Road from Bell’s Junction to the boundary of Section Rangiwaee No. 4, £450; (4) the Owhakura Road, £1,450; (5) to provide for the cost of raising the loan, first year’s interest on loan, and engineering, £300—the said Upper Wangaehu Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within that portion of the Upper Wangaehu Road District bounded on the north by the Waimarino County boundary; on the east by the eastern boundaries of Subdivisions 3B, 3C, and 3D, Raketepauma Block, the Kaimatiwi Stream, and the Turakina River; on the west by the Wangaehu River and the eastern boundary of the Otumauma Block; on the south by the northern boundary of the Pungataua Block, the Koukopo Stream, and the northern boundaries of Sections 75, 76, and 77, Blocks V and VI, Maungakaretu Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of August and the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the interest on the loan being at the rate of £4 per cent. per annum.
I hereby certify that the above special order was passed at a special meeting of the Board held on the 2nd day of December, 1905, and confirmed at a meeting of the Board held on the 6th day of January, 1906.

THE following special order, made by the West Taieri Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901.”

WEST TAIERI DRAINAGE DISTRICT.
Special Order.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901,” and amendments, the West Taieri Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, or such lesser sum as may be required, authorised to be raised by the West Taieri Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purchase of one of Ross’s patent water-elevators or pump, and a new oil-engine to drive the said pump or elevator, and the erection of a shed or building to cover engine and store oil, the said West Taieri Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the West Subdivision of West Taieri Drainage District, comprising Sections 50, 51, 1 of 52, 2 of 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, part 61, part 62, part 1 of 63, part 2 of 63, part 65, 66, 67, 68, 1 of 69, 2 of 69, 70, 71, 72, Block III, Maungatua Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly—namely, on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of June—in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest is 4 per cent. per annum. The first half-year’s interest rate to be payable on the 1st day of January, 1906.
The above special order was advertised on the 29th day of December, 1905, and the 5th, 12th, and 19th days of January, 1906, and a meeting held at the house of Mr. Joseph McNeill at 1 p.m. on the 22nd day of January, 1906, at which the above special order was duly confirmed.
